The cicada songs of late summer were still deafening. Perhaps the cicadas in the woods sensed that summer would soon be gone, for they were chirping with all their might.
Lin Li and Su Yue passed through the woods, where the sound of cicadas was incessant, and followed the bank upstream along a small creek.
