A sudden gust of wind swept across the sky, bringing a vast stretch of dark clouds with it.
The bright moon, once surrounded by a retinue of stars, was swallowed by the wind-blown clouds. With the only source of light obscured, the world plunged into a darkness so complete you couldn't see your hand in front of your face.
"This weather is changing way too fast!" Lin Li, who had already returned from the wilderness to the safe zone, grumbled. He stood on the flat asphalt road, looking up at the clouds where silvery-white lightning flashed.
"It's probably going to pour soon. I'd better hurry back to camp."
SNAP.
The crisp sound of a finger snap echoed in the pitch-black night. A few small sparks flew out and rapidly expanded, transforming into fist-sized fireballs.
Under Lin Li's control, the fireballs immediately dispersed, hovering around him to drive away the darkness and illuminate the path at his feet.
