The outposts were arranged in a ring, spaced five hundred meters apart.
The whole setup formed an arcing defensive line facing the Swamp Territory's town.
Its purpose was to block all prying eyes.
In addition to the outpost personnel, two hundred of the territory's soldiers patrolled the area daily, split into ten squads.
Each of these squads was also equipped with at least three Contracted Giant-toothed Mountain Rats.
Although these Giant-toothed Mountain Rats were weak, their sense of smell was incredible. They could detect the scent of any outsider within five hundred meters.
