An update for all my dear patrons:
The good news: This morning, I received a notice from my editor. Our book is going premium ahead of schedule, tonight after midnight (which is the 1st).
And as is tradition, a premium launch calls for a mass release.
The bad news: I have no backlog! I have no stockpiled chapters!! I really, truly have no chapters saved up!!!
Since its debut, the book has been doing pretty well. I originally thought I would finish the entire new book period and then go premium during the Sanjiang recommendation period, which would have been around mid-October.
I never, ever expected my editor to suddenly notify me about going premium. It caught me completely off guard.
In the 19 days since it launched, I've written 140,000 characters. In all my years of writing, this is the earliest a book of mine has ever gone premium.
So right now, I'm feeling incredibly anxious and apprehensive.
