After the meal, Victor Morgan made a phone call. A short while later, someone from the kitchen downstairs brought up a small cart.
It was filled with all sorts of fruits.
"For me?" Jessie patted her tummy. She was actually already quite full.
Victor nodded. "I'll be a little while longer. Will you wait for me here?"
He wasn't actually sure if Jessie planned to leave after her meal or wait for him so they could go home together.
But rather than leaving the choice to Jessie, Victor would much rather things went the way he wanted.
He wanted Jessie to stay.
Even though he knew the family's driver was still downstairs waiting for Jessie, he wanted to keep her there with him.
Jessie said, "Waiting for you is so boring!"
She had already seen pretty much everything in his office. Aside from a few art pieces, the rest was all standard and conventional. There was nothing to play with and no way to relax besides doing more work.
'No way!'
