He was completely blocking her view of Cecilia.
She couldn't see a thing and was about to leave.
Just then, she saw Cecilia's arm reach out and wrap around the man's neck.
She immediately realized what they were doing.

Her anger overcame her reason. She picked up a brick from the ground and smashed it against the window.
The loud crash startled the two inside, and they both glanced frantically toward the window.
The cold wind from outside poured into the room, making the curtains billow.
