Leon Lynch looked directly at her. Though the night was as cool as water, Nora Ainsworth could certainly feel it.
"I missed you."
His words made Nora Ainsworth squirm as if she were itching all over. "COUGH, COUGH. Fallen in love with me? So much that you can't tear yourself away?"
A hint of a smile touched his eyes. "You read my mind."
Nora Ainsworth grew even more uneasy. "Stop joking. A playboy like you has probably said this to countless other women. Of course you're so smooth about it."
Leon Lynch's eyes narrowed. "I don't say those words lightly."
Nora Ainsworth turned away. "I had classes all day and I'm a little tired. You should head back."
He took half a step closer. "You don't look tired to me. You just look uncomfortable. Aren't you supposed to be easygoing? It's not like this is our first time alone together."
