Of course, Catherine Callahan wasn't going to tell anyone that she had put tasteless, colorless, long-acting sleeping pills in Quentin Grant's favorite bowl. A small dose of this particular drug would only take effect after three or four hours.

No one knew that the moment she discovered Nora Ainsworth was the woman who satisfied Quentin's physical needs, her mind was instantly flooded with ideas on how to eliminate her.

She had thought that once she moved in, Nora Ainsworth wouldn't come back.

But to her surprise, Quentin had brought her back anyway.

Just looking at Nora's face was enough to conjure images of her beneath Quentin.

'She absolutely refused to let that happen!'

Catherine Callahan went downstairs, her mood significantly improved.

Nora Ainsworth struggled to lie down on the bed, the pain in her leg making it nearly impossible to sleep.

She lay there stiffly, even the thought of turning over was a distant dream.

For her, the night was pure, agonizing torture.
