Clara Grant wasn't ready to give up, so she tried a different approach. "Is the guest in this room named Seth Quinn?"
The receptionist was clearly surprised and blurted out, "How do you know?"
The moment the words left her mouth, she grew awkward and fearful. 'Isn't this a blatant breach of confidentiality? What if the manager finds out...'
Clara Grant saw the receptionist's distress. If she wasn't supposed to disclose guest information, then confirming his name was a clear violation of the rules. It was only natural for her to be scared.
To put the receptionist at ease, Clara Grant forced a smile and said reassuringly, "Don't worry. You didn't tell me anything, and I don't know anything!"
Having said that, she turned and walked out the hotel entrance, not meeting the receptionist's grateful eyes.
'Seth Quinn. So it really was Seth Quinn!'
'When she heard it was him, she wasn't happy, exactly... but why on earth did she suddenly feel so relieved???'
