Her electric scooter was quite compact, so it fit into the trunk of Sarah Shelby's car.
After stowing the scooter, Sarah Shelby got into the driver's seat, and Clara Grant got into the passenger seat as well. As Sarah started the car, she casually asked, "Clara, what took you so long upstairs?"
If only she hadn't asked. The question made Clara Grant's mind flash back to the scene upstairs, to Seth Quinn brazenly declaring that he wanted to sleep with her!
When Clara didn't answer, Sarah Shelby glanced at her in confusion, only to notice something was off.
"Clara, what's wrong? Why is your face so red? Are you not feeling well?" Sarah Shelby said, anxiously reaching out to feel her forehead and check for a fever.
Clara Grant gently dodged her hand. "Just focus on driving. I'm fine, it's just... I was just rushing around upstairs looking for that manager."
"Then how come I didn't notice earlier?" Sarah Shelby put her hand back on the steering wheel, still a little confused.
