The driver was impressively fast. By the time she arrived at the classroom, there were still a few minutes left before class was scheduled to start.
Clara Grant found a seat and sat down, finally letting out a sigh of relief. 'Thank goodness I'm not late.'
For the past three years, she had been a model student. Even though she had to run all sorts of errands to make ends meet, she was never late, never left early, and certainly never skipped class or took a day off without reason.
But in recent months, aside from the three-month leave she took for filming, she had already asked for time off several other times. If she had been late today, she really would have felt like she was slipping.
She had just caught her breath when the classroom door was pushed open again. In walked Chloe Grant.
Clara Grant merely glanced up. Seeing who it was, she indifferently lowered her gaze and went back to organizing her books.
