Timothy Sterling went upstairs to change, while Aurora and Mrs. Sterling waited in the living room.
Mrs. Sterling had been watching the cold war between Aurora and Timothy for the past few days. Although Aurora said she would try to accept Joy Dalton and Sharon Sterling, she couldn't bring herself to forgive Timothy so easily. Mrs. Sterling understood and sympathized. After all, Timothy's affair with Joy Dalton had started while Aurora's mother was still alive, when Aurora herself was only two. In Aurora's mind, her father had always been a loving husband to her mother and a doting parent to her. The knowledge that he'd had an affair with her own aunt was bound to be deeply upsetting.
