With it acting as a Shield, Raylo would at least have enough Power to escape this dangerous swamp while he observed.
Raylo, holding the little ones, leaped from Lightning's back onto the broad back of the Ice Wind Demon Serpent.
"Lightning, come over and rest too."
Raylo called to Lightning.
"ROAR."
Lightning's massive body rapidly shrank amidst a flash of electricity, eventually reverting to a palm-sized blue kitten.
It wobbled as it jumped through the air, and Raylo caught it with one hand.
Raylo stood atop the head of the kilometer-long Ice Wind Demon Serpent, his robes fluttering in the fierce wind. His gaze was like a torch, peering far into the depths of the ever-changing swamp.
