The reporters chattered amongst themselves, the excitement of feasting on gossip clearly gone.
Laura Lowell didn't rush to speak. She waited until they had all fallen silent before saying calmly, "I don't know who sent you all those out-of-context photos to frame me, but for it to happen right at our movie's press conference… it's a bit too much of a coincidence."
Laura Lowell's implication couldn't be clearer: someone was deliberately targeting her, intentionally trying to sling mud at her.
