Yuan Lang glanced at the few middle-aged beastmen, then turned and barked, "The rest of you, follow me! Now!"
The beastmen also knew what was at stake. Though extremely reluctant, they gritted their teeth, hoisted the injured tribe members onto their backs, and followed Yuan Lang.
They hadn't run far when the roars of Fierce Beasts echoed from behind them, savage and cruel.
The beastmen's faces were filled with sorrow. They clutched the bundles on their chests, fought the urge to look back, and kept running headlong. Only the glistening teardrops that occasionally fell revealed their inner turmoil.
"Halt!" Yuan Lang hissed. A commotion came from the jungle ahead—it sounded like many animals on the move.
"ROAR!" A huge, snow-white tiger leaped out of the jungle, pounced on Yuan Lang, and gave his face a thorough licking.
Before he could even react, the great white tiger jumped aside. Amidst a flash of light, a handsome, well-built, middle-aged beastman appeared before everyone.
