Tristan Grayson pushed his thoughts aside and leaned back in his chair, asking in a low voice, "Why are you back so suddenly?" The thought of Maggie Monroe being abroad all by herself gave him a headache.
"Heh, what choice did I have? That bastard Cassian Jennings actually dared to threaten me over Gia Miller. It seems our years of brotherhood have come to an end," Aiden Avery said angrily, sitting down beside Tristan Grayson.
Tristan Grayson pinched the bridge of his nose and sneered disdainfully. "It's not worth it over some woman."
"Tristan Grayson, that's easy for you to say! I'm telling you, stay out of this thing between me and Cassian Jennings!"
"How childish. I'm not as idle as the two of you."
"You..." Aiden Avery's face darkened. Just as he was about to curse Tristan Grayson for being heartless, he saw Tristan shoot to his feet and walk toward the hospital room across the hall.
