But once the words were out, she clamped her mouth shut and awaited his judgment.
"Kiddo, you've got the wrong number, don't you?" Morgan Sinclair's infuriating voice came through the phone, lazy and grating.
Ashley Bowen quickly hung up. She stared at the name on her phone screen—it clearly said "Yuri Sinclair"!
She redialed the number. "Hello?"
"Kiddo, what's up? Hasn't even been a day and you miss me this much already?" This time, Morgan Sinclair's voice was even more saucy.
Ashley Bowen clenched her fists, wishing she could just smack the person on the other end of the line.
"Last night and the night before… were you the one who sent those flirty texts?" Ashley Bowen asked, her brow furrowed.
"What's so flirty about that? I was just asking if you were asleep. Why are you getting so worked up? Don't tell me you've fallen for me, have you?"
"Pfft! Get lost! You're the death of me!" Ashley Bowen immediately hung up.
