Jenna Irving returned to the break room and took a sip of water. She couldn't shake the memory of the way Ryan Osborne had looked at her in the lobby just now.
Her grip on the glass tumbler faltered, and she nearly dropped it. Water sloshed over the rim. She turned to grab a paper towel to wipe it up.
But as she spun around, she slammed right into the general manager. The water in her glass splashed all over him.
"Hey! Jenna Irving, what do you think you're doing? You got water all over the general manager!" the general manager's assistant shrieked.
Jenna finally snapped out of it. More than half the water from her glass was gone, and the general manager's suit was soaked.
"It's nothing, it's nothing." The general manager, however, was good-natured about it. He glanced at Jenna and took the glass from her hand. "Hurry to my office. Someone's waiting for you. They have something to say to you."
