Claire Sinclair froze. "Hmm?"
"Go see Grandpa at the hospital when you have time."
"Oh..." 'And here I was, wondering what he was going to say.'
He hung up as soon as he finished speaking.
Claire Sinclair clutched her phone, the man's pleasant voice echoing in her mind.
Her former brother-in-law was now her husband. 'How did such an unattainable man become my husband?'
'Better not to think about it. He loves her sister; what the hell am I to him?'
Claire Sinclair shook her head, forcing herself to stop thinking about all that nonsense.
Just then, her phone suddenly rang.
She excitedly checked the caller ID, thinking it was him calling back. Seeing it was Melanie Sinclair's number, she couldn't help but feel disappointed.
Melanie Sinclair rarely called her, so she figured it must be something urgent. She answered unhurriedly, "Hello?"
"Claire, what do we do? Brother Linden's been arrested!"
