Claire Sinclair laughed inwardly, but her words were a polite retort. "Journalism is about one thing: facts. To condemn someone without seeing it for yourself is just kicking them while they're down. Mr. Lancaster, wouldn't you say that goes against professional ethics?"
Lynn Dawson scoffed in disdain. "You don't always need to see the truth with your own eyes. Logical deduction is also important."
"So, something you've concocted through sophistry—that's the truth?" Claire Sinclair shot back.
Lynn Dawson's brows furrowed slightly. She was growing impatient, and her tone turned hostile. "Claire Sinclair, you gave up your life as an internet celebrity to come be an intern at our TV station. Are you going to tell me you're not just doing this for the fame?"
Claire Sinclair found it amusing. "Lynn, how long have you been at this station? Are you famous yet?"
