Claire Sinclair said graciously, "It's alright. It was just a misunderstanding. Let's all go to lunch."
And with that, the matter was settled.
During her lunch break, Claire Sinclair sent an invitation to Teacher Hartwell and Theo Rhodes, asking them to join her for dinner that evening.
Teacher Hartwell happily accepted. Unfortunately, Theo Rhodes was still away on a business trip and couldn't make it back in time.
In the blink of an eye, it was quitting time. Claire Sinclair treated her colleagues to dinner at a well-regarded restaurant near the TV station, booking an extra-large private room that was just big enough to seat everyone.
While they were ordering food, her colleagues launched a verbal "assault" on Claire Sinclair.
"Claire Sinclair, come clean. Who exactly is your husband?"
"Your husband hired so many bodyguards for you. He must be a big shot, right?"
"Claire Sinclair, spit it out!"
