Chapter 244 - Mangekyo Blinded

Yuki Seisui's voice carried no emotion.

"Iaijutsu: Infinite Flying Raijin Slash!"

With those words, he and his shadow clones became relentless cutting machines, slicing through the spinning paper tornado without mercy.

Yet it had little effect. As the papers were cut apart, the tornado of sheets fragmented into nothing but scraps.

Konan was hardly harmed. Seeing Seisui appear beside her, she didn't retreat but instead tried to drag him into the tornado.

It was futile. If her attack had any chance of success, the tornado wouldn't have turned into shredded paper.

Even at his Infinite Flying Raijin speed, Seisui couldn't have sliced the paper to this state from her distance.

Seeing Konan attempt to escape, Seisui descended, a fireblade slashing toward the paper golem below.

He struck at the paper golem while his four shadow clones continued chasing Konan relentlessly with Flying Raijin speed.

By the time he landed, the paper golem, scorched by the fireblade, erupted in flames—but it still moved.

It surged forward, flames covering its body, undeterred.

Seisui glanced upward. His usually black pupil instantly turned blood red.

A small portion of his chakra transformed into cold, sinister eye power, sending a chill through his mind.

As the three-tomoe Sharingan rotated, the Mangekyo emerged, amplifying the malevolent energy within. His negative emotions surged.

"Dojutsu: Susanoo!"

A blood tear streamed from Seisui's left eye as the sinister chakra flooded it. In an instant, the endless arena transformed into a vast ocean.

This was a true ocean, boundless and infinite.

From a god's-eye view, Minato hovered in the air. Even having risen to see the expanse, he couldn't find its edges.

The ocean seemed to share the same nature as the arena: infinite.

Seisui stood on the ocean's surface, calmly watching Konan as she was hunted by the shadow clones above. His blood tear continued to flow.

The crimson Mangekyo Sharingan had turned pale gray, though a faint color remained in the pupil's center.

Without careful inspection, one wouldn't notice—but it didn't matter. His left eye had lost vision.

He was blind, yet not entirely. His right eye still saw.

Seisui had initially thought of summoning a tsunami, but since it was the arena with no side effects, he poured all his ocular power into Susanoo.

Thus, he became blind, but the effect was absolute.

Using the dōjutsu without concern for consequences created a magnificent sight: the endless corrosive ocean.

A thought struck his mind: The Sea of the Underworld… the sea of the underworld.

This was the ocean's true name—Yomi no Umi. Not a corrosive sea, not poisoned water. Just Yomi.

It was the first time he fully summoned this dōjutsu, manifesting the entire Sea of the Underworld.

The ocean's corrosive power was so immense that only this name was fitting.

Though blind in the left eye, Seisui retained complete control over the ocean.

At will, massive waves could surge, sweeping everything away.

Konan froze in midair, letting the four shadow clones strike her, knowing they could harm her not at all.

Seeing the boundless sea, she swallowed hard.

"Brother Seisui… you're… so strong…"

She didn't know the ocean's true power, but she saw her paper shredded the moment it touched the waters of Yomi.

She hovered, stunned. Seisui, however, remained calm. Raising his right hand, the tranquil ocean erupted, waves surging higher and higher.

Within moments, waves two or three hundred meters high thundered toward Konan.

Seisui stood atop a stationary wave, his gaze unwavering.

Konan climbed higher to avoid the waves, which grew to over five hundred meters in an instant.

Yet the ocean below remained unchanged, infinite.

Though vast, summoning it didn't engulf Seisui or Konan.

Only the arena could allow such a miracle.

The clones continued their chase, waves crashed, and Seisui sighed.

This was no longer a test of Konan's techniques.

From previous encounters, her abilities had already reached the ANBU-level tier.

Not merely elite-jonin as he had guessed.

With Dance of the Shikigami alone, she could surpass 99% of ninjas.

The remaining one percent were mostly powerless against her.

Even though the fireblade could ignite her paper easily, it wasn't so simple. Seisui's chakra was immense.

With Kyu assisting, he had spent tremendous energy raising the blade's temperature.

For anyone else, the first step alone would drain all their chakra—they didn't have the reserves.

Most ninja fire techniques reach only a few hundred degrees Celsius.

Konan's camphor-soaked paper could resist four hundred degrees without concern.

Her Dance of the Shikigami granted physical immunity and flight.

Even if Seisui didn't use enhanced states, relying on his own skills alone, facing Konan was still a challenge.

Snapping back from his thoughts, Seisui saw Konan evading in midair. The four shadow clones pursuing her had reduced to three as their memories returned.

It's time to end this.

He whispered softly. The pale gray Mangekyo Sharingan flickered with a trace of red.

Though it no longer provided vision, it retained a fragment of ocular power.

"Burn everything!"

"Amaterasu!"
