Mikey, a 22-year-old young man, is fed up with his life, as nothing is going his way. He is single, but what depresses him most is just how boring life is—there is nothing to live for here. He is a backbencher in his class but still gets good scores. He doesn't know where he went wrong—maybe when he started his job, or even before that—but he wishes he had never been born if life is this bad.
He is complaining to God about his life when he sees a girl on the road being cornered by some thugs trying to capture her. It is nighttime. He quickly moves to help her, seeing there are five people holding knives. He knows this won't be easy. He knows martial arts and has a good body, but even then, this is a difficult task. He first surveys his surroundings and makes a plan: he calls for help from a friend (not exactly a fan, just someone he knows from his office) who also travels this road and tells him everything. His friend says he is coming, so he tells Mikey to wait a bit. As the situation worsens there, Mikey yells at the thugs, "Hey, stay away from the girl!"
Hearing the sound, the thugs are startled for a second, but then one thug approaches him with a knife. As planned, when the thug attacks, Mikey avoids the knife by changing the angle of the attack and punches him as hard as he can with his other hand—a clean hit to the nose.
Thug: "Ahhhhh!" As the thug screams, all the others come to confront Mikey.
Mikey: "Don't come closer. More people are coming—I already called them. You'd better run away now."
All the thugs are startled by his words, and they run off, not wanting any trouble with people or the police. As Mikey goes near the girl to comfort her, the thug he hit comes from behind, picks up a big stone, and throws it at him with full force. The stone hits the back of his head, and blood starts flowing. The girl screams and rushes closer to him, trying to stop the bleeding. The thug tries to run but sees people arriving and the police already circling him.
While lying with his head against something, Mikey feels a water droplet on his face and sees the girl crying.
Mikey: (thinking) Right, I'm dying. Remembering his past, which held nothing of worth to him, he just wishes that if given a second chance, he would try to live his life to the fullest.
Mikey opens his eyes again, realizing his head isn't hurting at all. He comes to his full senses and sees himself in an unknown room, but then he spots a Snorlax doll on the ground and recognizes the familiar room. Shocked, he says, "I reincarnated as Ash!" Then he hears his mom say he's late for his first Pokémon. Mikey understands this is the start of Ash's Pokémon journey. Mikey quickly dresses himself, eats breakfast, and starts running to Professor Oak's lab.
Mikey: (thinking) Why did I reincarnate in Pokémon as Ash? Is this a second chance or something? But Mikey is too excited because Pokémon was one of his favorite anime. He stopped watching Pokémon because he no longer had time due to his job. Remembering his first life, Mikey swears to himself that he will not make this life like his first—he is going to live this one to the fullest.
As Ash (Mikey) enters Professor Oak's lab, he meets Gary. Yes, Gary is Ash's rival; at first they didn't have a good friendship, but they became better rivals by the Johto League. Gary says something to Ash as his girls cheer for him, but Ash ignores his words and goes to take his first Pokémon. Knowing he doesn't have any real choice, he picks up the Pikachu. Things go as in the original Pokémon show: Ash takes Pikachu with rubber gloves but doesn't bind Pikachu with ropes as in the original anime.
Mikey: (thinking) This is much harder than in the anime.
Then Mikey sighs and does as in the original anime: he throws a stone at a Spearow while running, meets Misty, and ends up in a hospital comforting the idiotic Team Rocket. Then he heads to Viridian Forest.
Mikey, in his head, already starts to sigh, but he knows this is important as he needs Pikachu's cooperation. But now things start to change: as Mikey sees a Caterpie, he catches it with a Pokéball, as well as a Pidgeotto, just like in the original show. Then Ash sees a wounded Scyther.
Scyther tries to scare them, but it is too wounded from a Beedrill attack earlier and doesn't have the strength to fight.
Mikey comes close to it, reassuring him that he is not going to hurt him. as he apply medicine to him but would are several so ask scyther to come in his pokeball as he release him after saving seeing determination in his eyes syther nod his head as mikey touch his ball at scyther soon scyther whole body surround in redlight and he go instide a pokeball making a sound of capturing it.
then everything happen as in orignal show as mikey wanted metaphor evolution too buterfree but this time mikey catch one beedrill as he see most fitest
