Julie's Point of View
I ate a few bites quickly, but I felt a lump in my throat, so I pushed the plate away. I went in to shower, and immediately upon coming out, a strange heat began to course through the pores of my skin, as if my blood had suddenly started to boil.
I muttered as I wiped my wet face: "Am I going to get sick because I stayed out in the cold last night when I escaped?"
I took some underwear and a short nightrobe and placed them on the bed, then went to dry my hair.
But as soon as I turned on the dryer, I felt its air stinging my scalp like fire, so I turned it off immediately and tossed it aside. My body was rejecting any touch; I couldn't even stand to wear my underwear.
I settled for the robe alone, but the heat was increasing and concentrating in my lower abdomen in a terrifying way.
Axel suddenly started barking and scratching the door with his claws.
