Chapter 50 - Chapter 49: Hawk's Blood Analysis Report

"What did you just say?"

"Uh, I don't know?"

"No, what did you just say Dr. used to succeed in the experiment?"

"A little White mouse with a broken tail. Didn't I tell you last time?"

Hawk frowned, looking at Gwen whose expression seemed a little shocked, and asked curiously, "What's wrong?"

Gwen didn't speak.

Her brows were furrowed.

Experiment successful.

Little White mouse with a broken tail.

For some reason, Gwen's mind suddenly recalled the little White mouse that had escaped after the laboratory accident two months ago and licked the blood that Hawk had dripped at the time.

If her memory served her right.

That little White mouse's tail seemed to be broken.

"Hiss!"

Gwen subconsciously gasped, then glanced at Hawk, and then took out her phone from her pocket, found one of the numbers, and dialed it.

Hawk, sitting opposite, watched Gwen's actions and raised his eyebrows.

Soon.

Gwen's call connected.

"Hello, Elsa."

"Gwen? Are you calling to ask what happened? Sorry, the company made us sign a confidentiality agreement."

"No, Elsa, I wanted to ask, did Dr.'s experiment succeed on a little White mouse with a broken tail?"

"Uh... yes."

Elsa, a female researcher who had just signed a confidentiality agreement with the company at Osborn Biological Industry Building, nodded: "But you can't say it was a success, because it only happened once, and we tried to replicate it later, but they all failed."

Gwen heard this and quickly pressed on.

"Was it the little White mouse that escaped at the time that succeeded?"

"Yes, that one."

Indeed!

Gwen thought to herself, then calmly said a few more words to Elsa on the phone, and then hung up.

Hawk looked at Gwen after she hung up the phone and asked curiously, "Is there anything different about that escaped little White mouse?"

Gwen put away her phone and then looked at Hawk.

She thought for a moment.

"Do you still remember that laboratory accident?"

"Uh, I remember."

"Your hand was injured and bleeding at the time, right?"

"No."

Hawk shook his head decisively.

Gwen didn't speak, just looked at Hawk quietly.

Hawk met Gwen's gaze and thought for a moment: "Okay, let's just say I was injured at the time, continue."

Gwen stared at Hawk.

"Those few drops of blood you left on the ground were licked up by the little White mouse with the broken tail."

"..."

Hawk frowned slightly, looking at Gwen.

Gwen was also looking at Hawk.

Their eyes met.

Hawk withdrew his gaze and gasped, "You suspect that the successful little White mouse with the broken tail is the little White mouse you saw?"

Gwen shrugged: "This is the only variable, otherwise, why did Dr.'s many animal experiments only succeed with that one little White mouse?"

Although she didn't understand what the connection was.

But...

Gwen's mind once again recalled the waterfall in the depths of the Maryland forest, like an enraged dragon raising its head and reversing the Milky Way.

And Hawk, who stood beneath the reversed Milky Way waterfall and was also the cause of all this.

Hawk didn't speak, but silently put the large bucket of soda he was holding aside, then crossed his hands on the table, leaning slightly forward, looking at Gwen.

He thought of what Peter had said on the apartment rooftop last night.

Lizard Dr. had his aura on him.

Hawk had thought last night that the aura was left over from Gwen's contact with Dr. Connors the day before.

But now it didn't seem to be the case.

Laboratory accident, he shed a few drops of blood.

The escaped little White mouse with the broken tail absorbed the few drops of blood he left behind, and in an experiment where all other little White mice died, it became the only surviving little White mouse.

Dr. Connors then extracted new serum from this surviving little White mouse and synthesized a regeneration agent.

After that...

Dr. Connors turned into Lizard Dr.?

Hawk frowned, looking at Gwen who was quietly staring at him, opened his mouth, and then shook his head, feeling somewhat absurd.

"My blood shouldn't be that exaggerated, right?"

"There's a way to find out."

"What?"

"The Stark Building at school has a blood analyzer, and results can be out in as little as half an hour."

"..."

Stark Building refers to Building Three of the school, an experimental building donated by Howard Stark, where most of the equipment was donated by Stark Industries.

Of course, this also included the fully automatic rapid blood testing analyzer with the Stark LOGO, which looked worth at least tens of thousands from the outside, but was actually worth over a million U.S. dollars.

Hawk put his finger in his mouth and sucked it, and when he took it out again, the newly pricked wound had already healed.

Gwen had already started the machine.

The machine had also started running.

While waiting for the results, Gwen turned her head and looked at Hawk curiously: "Did you mutate like Dr. Bruce Banner?"

She had actually always wanted to ask.

But there had never been an opportunity.

Hawk looked at Gwen's curious gaze, let out a laugh, and shook his head: "I can assure you, I am one hundred percent human, pure."

He had just awakened his Little Universe...

That's all!

He would absolutely not admit to any mutation.

Only the poor rely on mutation.

Although he was also very poor, he relied on himself. Again, the reason he had his current strength was entirely due to his self-reliance and his consistent efforts over a thousand days.

A thousand days of effort, the sweat shed from ten thousand punches every day, finally watered the flowers he deserved to have.

Hawk thought to himself, paused, looked at Gwen, thought for a moment, and added.

"Anyway, I'm definitely not a mutant like Spider-Woman, and also, don't put me with Bruce Banner, he's not worthy."

"..."

Gwen's heart stirred, catching the key point in Hawk's words, and her eyes lit up: "Spider-Woman, is it Spider-Man? Is he also a mutant?"

Hawk blinked, then, under Gwen's gaze, made a zipping motion across his lips.

"Anyway, I won't reveal his identity, Gwen."

"If you won't say, then I'll find out myself."

Gwen rolled her eyes.

Just then.

Beep beep beep!

As the two talked in the laboratory, the fully automatic rapid blood testing analyzer, which had been working for half an hour, finally emitted an end prompt sound.

Gwen quickly walked over and took out the analysis report that the machine had ejected.

Hawk also leaned over.

In sight.

Red blood cell count, white blood cells, platelet count... the values were off the charts.

Hawk blinked.

This result...

It was within his expectations. A saint seiya cultivates their own body.

After glancing at the test report, Gwen took a deep breath and looked at Hawk: "Hawk, do you know what the outside world would be like if they knew your blood analysis?"

Hawk smiled.

He looked at Gwen.

"Gwen."

"Others won't be able to collect my blood so easily."

"..."
