Chapter 1 - The Beginning and the End

Time was no longer flowing forward.

Father Pucci stood motionless as Made in Heaven's acceleration tore the world toward its ordained conclusion. The ground beneath Cape Canaveral fractured into elongated streaks, as if reality itself were being pulled into lines. Fate was no longer abstract; it was mechanical, inevitable, holy.

And yet, someone was watching with interest, not reverence.

Leaning calmly against a half-crushed observation tower was Dr. Silvio Moretti, a former prison psychiatrist who had once evaluated Pucci years earlier. An old man declared "clinically intact" despite a lifetime of violence, manipulation, and total emotional absence. He had followed Pucci not out of belief, but curiosity. A god being born was, after all, a rare phenomenon.

Moretti felt nothing as the world distorted.

No fear or awe was present in his eyes. He merely glanced at stand arrow he had placed in a bucket of pigs blood at the precise angle indicated by his stand's ability.

"Is this the magnificence of fate?" he murmured, adjusting his glasses as seconds stretched thin. "Predictable."

He glanced at his watch, until exactly 33 seconds had passed. He plunged his hand into the bucket and pulled out the stand arrow. Striking an awkward left leaning pose while proclaiming a few key words in a bland tone: "Arc lightning, Reverence, Apathy".

Silence.

Then, the stand arrow began to twist and warp. The arrows reality warped and twisted, condensing like liquid gold until it became something better. His stand [Last Order] was a stand that reflected his own deep desire for the methodical control. Its ability [Step By Step] would hack into the fate of the world and implant a series of achievable instructions to Promote an inanimate item. This promotion used the fate of the world to warp reality the moment all the steps were completed.

Unfortunately, this can only work once for the item. Fate will generate a kind of immune rejection when trying again. Not to mention that the weight or importance of the item in the world can cause the instructions to vary in difficulty based on how important the item is. But now, his work to promote a Stand Arrow into something like the Requiem Arrow has been a success.

A slight glimmer of interest flashed in Dr. Moretti's eyes as the arrow transformed into a powerful looking BOLT. It retained beautiful engravings of angelic wings at the end of it, wrapped in gold. The moment the Stand Bolt was completed. It jumped directly at himself, diving into his heart and into [Last Order]. His eyes barely registered surprise as he felt his stand changing and unbearable pain from the soul assaulted him.

He calmly dabbed the blood running down his forehead, which came from his sweat glands.

"Hmm.", Was the only comment he made, his inhuman nature on full display as he completely lacked a sense of fear.

And deep within his spirit, his stand was changing into a powerful new form. An Overture form.

If a Requiem is the end, than an Overture is the start. But this process will also make his stand completely different from tradition stand's. Like the Requiem Arrow made Golden Experience intelligent.

But this Stand Bolt. It didn't just make [Last Order] gain intelligence.

A human soul from beyond this world had appeared within the Stand Bolt the moment it was born by fate. A human soul was directly injecting into [Last Order] itself.

It became something completely... bizarre.

The thin and tall humanoid stand sprouted two giant wings. Its face was human but replaced with a giant PLUS symbol on its eyes and mouth, like a mouth taped shut and its eyes tapped open. Small tear symbols appeared on its wings, replacing feathers with stained glass-like appearance. Its arms and legs thickened slightly and its height raised up to 1.8 meters tall.

But the strangest thing, was the light in its eyes. A human man had just found himself inside a stand of a fictional universe. The moment he merged with the stand, its attributes surged and his mind was filled with information regarding his situation. Who his name used to be, he couldn't remember. But now he was the stand of Dr. Moretti, Overture: [Last Order].
