Chapter 12: The War of Dark and Light
The very air in the throne room began to vibrate. The minor god possessing the King's body raised his hands, manifesting thousands of blades made of pure white light. With a single gesture, the blades rained down upon Volt like a relentless storm.
Volt remained stationary, allowing the energy of Absolute Destruction to emanate from his body like a dark shroud. As the white blades struck the shield, they didn't just break; they dissolved into smoke and vanished.
"Is this all the power remaining from your precious Heavens?" Volt asked mockingly. In an instant, Volt moved with speed surpassing human sight. He appeared directly before the King and delivered a devastating punch to his chest.
The King was sent flying backward, crashing into the wooden throne and shattering it into a thousand pieces. Sai watched in awe, "My Lord, it seems even gods cannot withstand your fist."
Aki, hidden in a corner of the room, shouted, "Volt! Watch out, he's using the power of the Sacred Tree!"
Massive roots erupted from beneath the floor, coiling around Volt's legs. The god stood up with a bloodied face, "You are in my house, Demon! Here, nature itself is my army!"
Volt looked down at the roots, his red eyes glowing intensely. "Nature? Nature only obeys the one with true authority. System... activate Hellfire Infusion." Suddenly, every root touching Volt began to burn with a black flame that no water could extinguish.
