Chapter 74 - Chapter 74 – Are You Telling Me How to Do Things?

"You're the one exposed as Uchiha Madara—what has that to do with my Akatsuki Organization?"

After saying that, Nagato left without wasting more words; even if he stayed to chat,

the man wouldn't reveal anything extra.

And… the 'tough hide' Madara showed in the video made Nagato deeply wary. No wonder he stood beside Senju Hashirama in the legends.

Leaving combat power aside, the fact that he withstood Evening Elephant and survived a kick from Night Guy without dying on the spot was shocking enough.

Even someone as mighty as Nagato could be killed by an ordinary Kunai through the heart.

Legend said the God of Shinobi, Senju Hashirama, once held a Kunai to his own chest before Uchiha Madara, willing to trade his life for peace.

Unable to bear Hashirama's death, Madara stopped him, accepted his terms, and thus the two strongest clans of the Sengoku era joined hands—founding Konoha.

If earlier the name Uchiha Madara had seemed merely mysterious, not overwhelmingly powerful,

this broadcast multiplied Nagato's dread several times over.

They were allies for now, but who knew when that blade might turn? Precaution was only sensible.

"Nagato suspects you," a White Zetsu said, appearing beside Obito with a grin. "So, move the schedule up?"

"No, not yet." Obito shook his head, his Sharingan fixed on the route Nagato had taken. 'I still need him as a shield.'

Nagato could claim that Uchiha Madara's exposure had nothing to do with the Akatsuki Organization,

and Obito felt the same: the future Madara had been exposed—what did that have to do with Uchiha Obito?

Still, the resurrection of future Madara was troublesome; Obito preferred it not happen, since the moment Madara returned, control would slip from his grasp.

The Kage of the Five Great Villages should be the ones worrying about that resurrection—

especially Hiruzen Sarutobi; after wiping out the Uchiha Clan, the old man must be losing sleep.

'A shield, huh? You're so tiresome, Obito,' White Zetsu sighed. 'Nagato can now wield the Rinnegan perfectly—just have him resurrect Lord Madara.'

White Zetsu had served Madara and Obito longer than anyone; deep down they still obeyed Uchiha Madara.

Before his death Madara had ordered them to obey Uchiha Obito, so they followed his instructions to the letter.

Yet sometimes even White Zetsu couldn't fathom what Obito was thinking.

Before, Nagato hadn't mastered the Rinnegan and couldn't resurrect Uchiha Madara—but now he almost had.

But right now, Obito seemed to have forgotten Lord Madara's instructions, so White Zetsu offered a reminder.

"Are you telling me what to do?"

Uchiha Obito glanced sideways at White Zetsu and said coldly, "Uchiha Madara said he should be revived at the right moment. Revive him now and send him to fight Might Guy?"

"Well…" White Zetsu was momentarily at a loss for words; he had also seen the video.

He naturally knew that in the video Lord Madara's plan had succeeded—he had returned to life and seemed to have gained even greater power.

Yet even so, Might Guy had beaten him black and blue.

"Step back. Keep watching the Five Great Villages. With the Chunin Exams being held in Konoha this time, I expect every powerhouse from the Five Kage will show up."

Obito gazed into the distance, his tone calm. "When that moment comes, it will be spectacular."

"Fine, you're the boss." White Zetsu readily agreed; he wasn't very bright and failed to notice Obito's stalling.

After White Zetsu left, Obito sat atop the high tower, staring at the distant scenery, lost in thought.

In the next instant, he vanished from the spot, destination unknown.

One-Punch Man World

"That final blow was too strong; only you could have blocked it, sensei."

Genos drew a sharp breath, stunned by Might Guy's performance—could human physical strength really reach such a level?!

And in the video, an attack of that magnitude could only be dodged, never taken head-on.

Yet Uchiha Madara was a real man—he actually chose to meet it head-on.

According to Genos's data, no one could withstand that level of attack except his teacher; other S-Class Heroes would have no choice but to evade.

Genos had done a quick calculation: if he himself faced such an attack, he could only run—and even then might not escape.

By the time he decided to flee, the opponent would already be on him, fist swinging.

"Ah."

Saitama nodded slightly, indicating he could block it, and praised, "From dead-last to a man acknowledged by the strong."

"'Might Guy! From now on you'll become stronger than anyone else!!!!'—those words made me feel my long-lost youth again."

Perhaps seeing something of himself in Might Guy, Saitama spoke faster than usual.

"Pity they're humans, not Monsters." Saitama's face fell; he disliked fighting humans because he always had to hold back.

One careless punch and they'd be dead.

With Monsters there was no such worry—one punch or slap and the world went quiet.

"Yeah."

Genos also felt it was a shame; a powerhouse of that level clashing with his teacher would have been thrilling.

But, worlds apart, such a fight could never happen.

A real regret.

At the same time, Genos was quietly relieved: for now, no enemy existed that required his teacher's full power.

If one ever did appear, it would undoubtedly be the legendary… god-level Monster!

Just as Genos thought this, the multiverse projection screen lit up.

Clearly, a new countdown video was starting.
