Chapter 86 - Chapter 87 – Performance of the Wise King!

In fact, it wasn't just Emiya Shirou's side; people in other worlds noticed it too.

Even though the two goddesses had temporarily halted Tiamat's advance at the cost of their lives, it was only temporary.

Time was still extremely tight; even through the screen, everyone could feel it.

There simply wasn't enough time for that underworld goddess to shift the underworld beneath Uruk.

What method had that Gilgamesh—the Wise King—come up with to get through this?

Could it be having that person named Mash unleash a Noble Phantasm to block Tiamat?

They were all eagerly anticipating what came next—whether Ishtar would drop a "planet" on Tiamat, or Quetzalcoatl would turn herself into a meteor to strike her.

Or the earlier Gorgon, who'd done her utmost to rob Tiamat of her ability to fly.

Those feats had been so spectacular that people nearly forgot what the main topic was.

Boom—!!!

Black mud surged like a tidal wave toward Uruk; clearly the battle had entered its final phase.

As the wyvern landed, Mash looked up at Wise King Gilgamesh on the highest point and called, "Are you all right, Your Majesty!"

"King Gilgamesh!" Fujimaru Ritsuka ran toward the Wise King.

"You've returned." Wise King Gilgamesh regarded Fujimaru and Mash calmly.

Then he gazed ahead and said serenely, "Behold—the full view of Uruk."

Fujimaru and Mash looked forward and were stunned. Though they'd seen plenty on the way here,

from this vantage the whole of Uruk struck them with a different kind of awe.

With his back to them, the Wise King spoke calmly, "This is the end of a world one step away from vanishing from the surface."

Before their eyes lay a scene of devastation: houses ablaze, black mud pouring through gaps in the walls.

When Fujimaru's party had set out, Uruk had still been vibrant—buildings intact, everyone well protected.

Now, all of it was ruined.

Soldiers slumped against walls, faces calm; civilians lay on the ground, their fate unknown.

The Lahmu ignored Gilgamesh, continuing to hunt for any still alive.

Seeing all this,

Fujimaru and Mash—who had witnessed Uruk's prosperity—stood speechless.

They weren't alone; people in other worlds were equally stunned.

This was the prelude to a civilization's destruction.

The only survivor seemed to be Gilgamesh himself.

As Fujimaru and Mash stood in shock, a crash snapped them back.

"She comes—our mother appears." Wise King Gilgamesh remained calm. Watching Tiamat approach, he extended his hand.

A stone tablet appeared. He regarded Tiamat solemnly. "Now let Tiamat witness Uruk's final spirit!"

"Everyone—watch closely!"

As those words fell, the stone tablet blazed with golden light, runic characters flickering one after another.

Voom—!!!!

At the same time, a golden radiance flared along the walls of Uruk.

The dark clouds overhead parted, and shafts of golden light descended as if to bear witness.

Back at Chaldea, Doctor Roman exclaimed, "No lapis! No soldiers! Yet the Authority Seals are moving!?"

Indeed, the Authority Seals on Uruk's ramparts were activating without anyone at the controls!

"Hmph! Who do you think I am!" Wise King Gilgamesh declared proudly. "The three-hundred-and-sixty Authority Seals installed in Uruk were forged by my own hand—infused with mana and commanded by me alone!"

Boom-boom-boom-boom—!!!

Countless cannon blasts erupted from the Seals, hurtling toward Tiamat.

Explosions thundered incessantly, the barrage slowing her advance.

Wise King Gilgamesh forced a strained smile. "So long as I drive this body with the resolve to die, I can control them all!"

"The task of pinning Tiamat here—let this king bring it to a flawless close!"

He spoke with utter seriousness, sweat streaming down his face; he was clearly pushing himself to the brink.

Aaaaaaaaaa—!!!

Tiamat let out another indecipherable roar.

Outside the video, in the Type-Moon/Fate World, Gilgamesh was elated. "Yes! That's how it's done!" It was finally his home-field moment.

Well done, my other self! Magnificent!

As expected of me—still alive, and still magnificent!

"So this is the king of heroes?" Emiya Shirou watched the king who faced death to unleash the Authority Seals, a strange glint in his eyes.

This, truly, was the bearing of a sovereign.

The so-called king of heroes nearby showed none of that majesty.

Inside the video, the relentless shells slammed into Tiamat; the Lahmu were obliterated in droves.

It was an area bombardment—total saturation.

"A-amazing," Fujimaru Ritsuka stammered, stunned that King Gilgamesh still had such a trump card.

Then Fujimaru remembered something. "Ereshkigal, how's the underworld prep going!?"

Ereshkigal glanced upward with a strained smile. "Almost done—hold out a little longer!"

Before Fujimaru could answer, a premonition struck; she turned toward Tiamat in the distance.

Eh?

A warning of lethal danger.

Tiamat slowly lifted her head; her violet-red eyes fixed on Fujimaru.

!!!!!!

Sensing it too, Wise King Gilgamesh spun around in alarm.

A violet beam lanced across the battlefield.

Fujimaru's eyes widened, death's grip freezing her in place.

Everyone watching felt death brush past them.

The next instant, a hand shoved Fujimaru aside.

The screen dimmed
