Once again Lana feels a strange faint whisper near her ear making her turn around but as usual there is no one there apart from the word..
. . .: upstairs..
Lana's eyes look around the room for a clue maybe? Her eyes fall on the dark stairs she takes a step forward to examine it then turns around facing the two who have been looking in the same direction but from a little distance aiming their flashlights where Lana is standing,
Lana : Shall we check upstairs?
The two nods their head while following Lana to the upstairs as they slowly climb them the sound of their footsteps echo through the empty building another dark hallway similar to the gloomy one downstairs is revealed but this one contains various rooms..probably where the patients were kept most of them are close apart from one strange room . . . as the trio take a closer look towards it they notice the decor inside hints towards the presence of a kid in the room at first Lana's heart sinks at the thought that a child had to be present in the room then her eyes follow the furnitures and the scratches on the walls, she closely examines every item present there then finally a photoframe lying on the bed comes into her view it's cracked..but clearly shows two people in the picture one is a 5-6 year old child another one seems to be a lady but strangely her face is covered with black ink hiding her facial features.
Lana quickly turns towards the other two but as she takes a step forward to talk to them she feels a push from behind and stumbles down falling on the ground face first the other two concerned for our Lana quickly rush to her side,
Evan : hey Lana are you alright?
Yuan : Clumsy Lana or did you liked the floor that much that you wanted to examine it closely?
Lana gives a glare at Yuan while he raises his hand in mock surrender while our poor Evan is concerned about Lana,
Lana : I guess I just stumbled?
Evan lightly smacks her head ,
Evan : Lana we need you in one piece for this investigation
Lana nods her head innocently like a kid as she soon as she tries to get up she feels a sharp pain in her making her wince she somehow manages to get up and manage to walk slowly limping trying to cover it up by focusing her camera for extra minute on the walls,
Yuan turns around noticing the distance between them and Lana,
Yuan : Lana I think one picture of the wall is enough isn't it?
Lana : Come on the more the merrier don't you think and i think these scratches carry an interesting story with them
Evan clearly noticing the sudden change in Lana..his eyes land on her foot everything seems clear now he quietly walks over to her and crouches down facing his back towards here,
Evan : No need to hide it anymore Lana come I'll carry you until your foot gets better
Lana blinks shocked by how quickly does Evan catches up on to her lie all the time she bends down wrapping her arm around her shoulder as he carries her,
Lana : you sure should be detective with those skills of yours
Evan just chuckles while Yuan grins to himself,
Yuan : surely a memorable trip for Lana
Lana shoots him a glare before her eyes notices the picture clutched in her hands she raises it a bit so that the two can have a look at it,
Lana : Hey guys look what I found..seems to be a picture of two people but you see the lady's face is hidden..and it's deliberately hidden
The other two looking close at the picture noticing the lady and the child for a moment the child's expression lips curl at the corner the three of them freeze then looks at each other for confirmation that it wasn't just them who saw it but judging from the trio's expression it's clear all three of them saw it..the picture gets back to it's original position
Lana : The room's furniture was odd as well.. everything was kept asymmetrical as if someone dragged them while trying to protest there were a lot of marks on the floor..could the mystery of this place be related to this girl?
Yuan and Evan nod their head in agreement their eyes lingering on the picture,
Yuan : I think there is a possibility
Evan : This picture sure hides story behind it which we have to untangle
