Chapter 6 - chapter 6

On the morning of July 26th, Aryan Tiwari was woken up by the chirping of birds outside his window.

He picked up his phone—7:30 AM.

Ever since he started trading stocks seriously, his biological clock had unknowingly synced with market time. He was now more punctual than he ever was during his office job.

After washing up, Aryan glanced at the refrigerator. There was half a cabbage and two eggs left—bought yesterday. In the past, even instant noodles felt expensive. But now, with ₹4,232 steadily growing into something meaningful, he no longer needed to starve himself.

He fried an egg, boiled a simple bowl of noodles, and sat in front of his computer while eating.

Today's focus was CATL—the stock he had already checked on KaalDrishti yesterday.

A Big Bet

According to KaalDrishti:

July 26 close: ₹435.6

July 27 open: ₹430.2

July 28 peak: ₹473.2 (around 10 AM)

Suggested action:

Buy at open on July 27

Sell before 10:30 AM on July 28

To be safe, Aryan checked the latest announcement:

"CATL signs a three-year supply agreement with a major automobile manufacturer, expected to add ₹15,000 crore in revenue."

He also reviewed policy news. The government had just raised the new energy vehicle penetration target under the 14th Five-Year Plan to 35%.

Policy + fundamentals + KaalDrishti prediction.

This was as close to a sure opportunity as it could get.

Market Opens

At 9:15 AM, call auction began.

CATL's price slowly climbed from ₹429 → ₹430.1, just ₹0.1 away from the predicted opening.

Aryan's heart beat faster.

This was his first time buying a stock priced above ₹400.

After selling Hengrui Pharma yesterday, his account balance had reached ₹12,000.

That meant he could only afford 28 shares.

₹430.2 × 28 = ₹12,045.6

Almost everything.

He took a deep breath.

"I'm betting on this."

Before 9:25 AM, he placed the order.

At 9:30 AM, the opening price flashed on the screen:

₹430.2 — exactly as predicted.

Order executed.

Aryan stared at the line:

Holding: CATL – 28 shares

His heart skipped.

Learning While Holding

For most of the morning, CATL traded calmly between ₹430–435.

Aryan didn't stare at the chart obsessively this time.

Instead, he opened "Basics of the Securities Market"—the book recommended by Mr. Sharma during the seminar—and studied Volume–Price Relationships.

"Price rising with increasing volume is healthy.Price rising with low volume signals danger."

CATL's volume increased steadily with price.

Funds were clearly entering.

This wasn't speculation. This was institutional money.

The Surge

At 2 PM, the stock suddenly took off.

₹435 → ₹440 → ₹445

Volume exploded.

The Axis Securities Retail Investors WhatsApp group—where Neha had added him—came alive.

"CATL is flying!""Is it too late to enter?""Careful, don't chase!"

Aryan remained silent.

He knew—tomorrow was the real explosion.

At 3 PM, CATL closed at ₹448.5.

Unrealized profit: ₹512+

Aryan closed the software and stood up to go buy groceries.

Just then—WeChat notification.

Old Faces, Same Attitude

It was Rohit Mehra—his former colleague.

"Aryan bhai, heard you're trading stocks now? Don't get carried away. The ST stock I bought fell another 5% today. You'll lose that little money sooner or later."🤦‍♂️

Aryan smiled.

In office days, Rohit used to follow him everywhere, calling him "bhai". Now he was desperate to prove superiority.

Aryan didn't argue.

He simply sent a screenshot of his CATL holdings—only showing:

28 shares | +₹512 unrealized profit

Then replied:

"Didn't lose today. Better than the ST stock you're holding."

Ten minutes later, only one reply came:

"hehe"

No follow-up.

Aryan knew—Rohit had nothing left to say.

A New Door Opens

Back in his rented room, Aryan put pork ribs and potatoes on the stove.

Then he opened KaalDrishti again.

This time, a new prompt appeared:

Congratulations!Your total funds (including unrealized gains) have exceeded ₹12,700.New feature unlocked: Sector Popularity Ranking (Top 5 sectors for the next 3 days).

Aryan's eyes widened.

He clicked immediately.

Top sectors:

Photovoltaic – +8.2%

Energy Storage – +7.5%

Semiconductors – +6.8%

New Energy Vehicles – +6.2%

FMCG (Liquor) – +5.5%

CATL's sector ranked only 4th.

The real heat… was in Photovoltaics.

Aryan quickly noted two names:

LONGi Green Energy

Jinko Solar

After selling CATL… I'll enter one of these.

Why He Was Doing All This

As the ribs cooked, Aryan sat by the window.

Streetlights illuminated Shivlok Apartments. Children played downstairs. Life felt calm.

He remembered his mother's call from yesterday.

"Your father's blood pressure medicine is almost over. Don't stress too much."

Aryan opened his banking app and transferred ₹1,000.

Message:

"Mom, buy Dad's medicines and eat something nice. I'm doing well."

He smiled.

Then returned to his desk, reopening CATL's K-line chart.

He knew one truth clearly now:

KaalDrishti may give opportunity—but survival depends on skill.

If he wanted to stand long-term, he had to learn, understand, and grow.

Tomorrow… CATL would test him again.

And beyond that—the real battlefield had only just begun.
