I've always been a hater of the morning time of the day. People die and it just brings a ton of depression to the game. Well it wouldn't be the only time some people die today.
The system came with a new mini game for us to play.
[System message: New protocol: Royal Rumble]
[You will all be teleported to the coliseum, where you will fight for your lives.]
[ If you die, it's game over]
Here i was, nearly dying to bees, reading this message.
Out of instinct I gulped knowing that a lot of blood will be shed. Blood that is shed because of my hands.
A small black whole formed in front of Jake and I. With almost no hesitation Jake let himself get sucked in.
I followed wondering about who I would be put against. I wondered who would shoot first, who would drop down and who would emerge victorious through all this drama.
Then we arrived.
"Wow, it really does feel great not being ambushed for once."
But then I saw what I was up against.
Jack Stone, literally tge person i had been rivals with. Unfortunately for him he got busted a few months before me.
He got caught in the act while he was casually shooting at a group of five outside a convenience store, when a patrol officer came by and saw him.
Without having a place to run to he then decided to turn himself in.
He was executed a week later. Hung in front of the city, I was there when he met his demise. I thought that he was just unlucky, that I could never suffer the same fate.
Well here I was looking eye to eye with him. A rivalry being settled in a world far away from earth.
"Jack Stone. Long time no see," I said.
"Steven Wilson, didn't think i would see you here."
We stood barely 10 meters between us staring at each other, our gazes meeting each other in the most sickening way possible.
Then we had the first bell ring.
The first fighters being Max Jefferson and Lucas Landen.
Max ended making quick work of Lucy's not even granting him a second to defend himself shooting the swift till he dropped.
Lucas down. Now it was Jake and Caroline.
The fight was long with both parties not letting up for tge duration of the fight.
Fortunately, Jake strangled Caroline and that was all she wrote for that fight.
I audibly let out a sight of relief that i still remained with a teammate even though I had no idea if I would still be alive after my brawl with Jake.
Caroline down. Then a bunch of other fights took place with most of them taking long with many gruesome scenes being left in the battlefield.
This made some of us look away gagging at the sheer sight.
The winners left the battlefield unscathed leaving many a bloodbath behind them bringing other fighters into the ring without the ring being cleaned.
I ended up hearing a roomer break out about a betting club being made, as a way to make a few coins as the fights were going on.
I was tempted to join but I had a bad feeling about what could happen if I joined.
And sure enough the 10 that were gambling ended up losing the gamble they made with their lives and were vapourised right in front of me.
What a close call that ended up being as I was just about to buy in for the next fight.
That showed everyone that if you gamble, you might lose more than you bargained for in this mystical world.
The next fight, Anderson Ruby and Addison James. A fight that ended up saving me from making a crucial mistake in my fight.
This fight was rather breathtaking, the kind that was impossible for one to look away from, up until the defining moment of the entire fight.
Addison didn't enter the fight fully loaded with all her weapons, so halfway through the fight, she began reloading when Anderson quickly stabbed her right in the heart.
That was the end of the fight and, from that alone, I then began making sure my guns were all in perfect working order before that was what killed me.
Then I went back to waiting for the fated fight against Jack.
These few hours were the longest, fight after fight, kill after kill, at this point I was timing each fight and was making a mental log of how long each fight took for it to end.
The shortest one was a fight that took am minute and a half. The winner came in shooting without any look of regard for his own life.
The Games were then put into intermission as the population changes were too much for the server to properly compute and send to each and every player.
I then went up to Jake to see how he was holding up especially after that long fight with Caroline.
"Yo Jake how are you? Did that fight wear you out, I was just by watching you."
"Yeah, she really took tge energy out of me." He responded.
He then told me everything i would need to know about Jack, because apparently in his past life, Jake was gathering information about all of the murderers in the crime industry at the time.
Even notes about me. He had observations about me that even I didn't know I had experienced.
He knew that I was meticulous in all my works, that I was a tough nut to crack in my past life.
And when I was just getting the final words about myself. The bell rang.
I walked to the ring hoping this houldnt be the last time I could walk ylthis ground as a player into this twisted game among other mass murderers who had no choice but to fight for their freedom in this very ring.
