Chapter 45 - 45. A another assumption

Alok and Maya never really cared where Nidhi stayed during her holidays. From this alone, it was clear how much they truly cared about her.

"Beta, I was busy earning money for your future. I didn't have time," Alok said.

Nidhi cut the call directly. She had no intention of wasting any more of her time.

"What did Nidhi say?" Maya asked, sitting beside Alok.

Seeing his depressed face, she already understood and said angrily, "She refused, didn't she?"

"I told you to behave properly with her, but you never listen to me," Alok said with a deep sigh.

"Now she doesn't want to help us at all."

Maya said angrily, "It's not like we are completely dependent on her. I know she will never help us. Why don't we take Ashna's help instead? After all, Mom had already arranged a connection with the Mittal family.
