Maya felt as if all the strength in her body had disappeared. Her head was hurting so badly that she could barely stand.
In a weak voice she said,
"Stop mentioning the award…"
"Madam, I'm sorry. Please sit down first," the staff member said while helping her sit on the sofa and giving her a glass of water.
In their entire lives, Maya and Alok had never experienced such humiliation before.
Alok couldn't even understand why Ashna had stolen someone else's work… and that too Nidhi's.
Today, they had become a laughingstock in front of everyone.
"That Nidhi…" Maya tried to say, but she couldn't continue.
Hearing only that much, the staff assumed that the couple had once again fought with Nidhi.
"So all of this happened because of that rude girl?" one staff member said angrily.
"She made you angry again and ruined your entire day."
