"How did you know I was Elan?" Reign asked, looking into Evie's eyes after taking the glass from her. "From your last letter," Evie said, taking a seat. She put the glass to her lips to take a sip of the wine; it was rich, leaving a sweet taste in her mouth. "At first I thought it was Arthur, since he had access to the library and his middle name is Elliot, but then in the last letter it was written about what you would do in a situation where you fall in love with a foreign princess, and you said that would never happen. Arthur would never put himself in the emperor's shoes; he is too strict to do that.
"So that clearly means you are Elan," Evie said, rotating her wine cup to swirl the wine before taking a sip.
"And how do you know Arthur's middle name?" he asked, staring at her intently.
"Because I asked him," Evie answered.
"So why don't you ask for mine?" he asked, putting his cup down.
"Or you can just tell me without me asking," Evie responded.
