Chapter 2:
The darkness of the morgue was suffocating. The air was thick with the stench of decay and disinfectant. The bodies, stacked like cordwood seemed to loom over Agnes Wilkins' lifeless form. Dr. Patel, and Nurse Amber had disposed of her body in the underground morgue, hiding the evidence of their heinous crime.
Ravenswood Hospital had a history of missing patients and workers, but the administration had always managed to cover it up, sweeping the allegations under the rug. The hospital's reputation remained intact, but the whispers of corruption and wrongdoing persisted.
Dr. Lee, the son of the late Dr. Muffy, the original owner of Ravenswood Hospital, had taken over the reins and expanded the hospital's operations. But his ambition and greed had led him down a dark path. He had begun harvesting organs from patients, nurses, and even non-medical staff, targeting whoever was available at the time when needed, selling them on the black market to the highest bidder. Dr. Patel, Dr. Kim, and two nurses, who knew the secret, were in on the scheme.
The profits were enormous, and Dr. Lee's power and influence grew with each transaction. But the weight of their secret was beginning to take its toll. The late-night whispers, the suspicious glances, the fear of being caught... it was a delicate balance, one that could shatter at any moment.
As the sun rose over Ravenswood Hospital, a new day dawned. Erica, a young and ambitious nurse, was getting ready for her interview at the hospital. She had no idea what horrors lurked beneath the surface, no idea that she was about to step into a web of deceit and corruption.

Erica stood in front of the mirror, smoothing out her crisp white blouse and adjusting her blazer. She took a deep breath, trying to calm her nerves. Today was the big day - her interview at Ravenswood Hospital and she couldn't wait to start her new life as a Ravenswood nurse.
In the next room, Lily, her roommate and best friend, called out, "Erica, you're going to knock their socks off! You're going to get that job, easy peasy!"
Erica smiled, feeling a surge of gratitude towards Lily. She walked into the kitchen, where Lily was sipping coffee and watching her with an encouraging smile.
"Hey, how do I look?" Erica asked, doing a little twirl.
"Stunning," Lily replied, giving her a thumbs up. "You're going to wow them."
The two friends sat down to a quick breakfast of scrambled eggs and toast, chatting about everything from their favorite TV shows to their plans for the weekend.
As they ate, Lily kept up a steady stream of encouragement, reminding Erica of her qualifications and skills. "You know you are a genius," she said, as they clipped on their coffee cups. "I can't wait to meet the almighty Doctor Lee. Everyone's been talking about him on TV, saying he's the best doctor in town. I've heard he's a genius in the operating room." Erica said.
Lily raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Oh, yeah? What's the buzz about?"
Erica leaned in, excitement bubbling over. "Apparently, he's done some groundbreaking work in organ transplantation. And get this - he's been linked to some high-profile cases, and everyone says he's got a 100% success rate. The man's a legend!"
Lily whipped out her phone and started Googling. "Let me see... _ahem_ 'Doctor Lee of Ravenswood hospital....., renowned surgeon and medical innovator... blah blah... awarded for his pioneering work in... yada yada...' Wow, he sounds like a rockstar!"
Erica giggled. "Right? I mean, who wouldn't want to work with a doctor who's basically a superhero? I'm so nervous, but also kind of thrilled!"
Their conversation was interrupted by the sound of Erica's alarm clock, reminding her it was time to leave for the interview. She stood up, smoothing out her outfit, and took a deep breath. "Wish me luck!"
Lily gave her a thumbs-up. "You've got this, girl! Knock them off, girl!"
As Erica headed out the door, she felt a mix of excitement and nerves. Little did she know, her life was about to take a dramatic turn...
