By herself of course with Ace in her head speaking to her.
(He is loosing it, whatever he's injecting won't help him...he will soon be consumed and become a psycho.)
This was bad news as Maine was going to the brink of no return. Lucy trusted them and built a bond even if she was more seclusive and appearing when good missions appeared. But Ace who she trusted like no other. Confirmed they were good even if they did bad things.
Kind of but when you build a good bond they would not leave you behind. Pilar died and repairing him was impossible. She would've asked Ace but refrained from it.
She had done a special mission trying to capture a guy which didn't go to smoothly. Ace was on cooldown and he wasn't there to easily clear the mission. Which the others kind of wondered where he was.
"Can you help?"
(Hmmm....it's not my place to really care for no one except for you and my other summoner.)
She bit her lip as she could see why. He was someone who she still didn't know of his full strength.
"I'll do anything."
Maine had taking her in, so you could say it was something she owed to him. Like an uncle and niece relationship.

Hearing her plea, Ace smiled as he just put his condition in. Actually he took a nice liking to her.

He appeared beside her as she was naked in the tub. Doing a Deep dive port to hacking a tied up man head for further information. So they can give to Faraday, Ace was handsome to boot. Lucy blushed but wasn't shy to show her body. Though she still felt a tugging worried feeling. Where he wouldn't like her body.
If you think about it, he was fully flesh unlike her.
Ace in spirit form looked at her.
"I thought you wouldn't appear after the cooldown."
She was multitasking really well.
"I mean, we're going to renew our contract, you'll see what I want."
He pulled her face to him, Lucy gulped as she knew what he was intending to do. She didn't mind, her feelings for him had grew. This step was something she looked forward to.
Their kiss was soft, as Lucy felt hot.
"Your body is the price you'll pay."
"O-Ok...."
She then felt a flick on her forehead.
"Also, you don't have to wait for the cooldown, ill be by your side 24/7"
She felt her heart thumped louder hearing those words. She couldn't glare at him for the flick. She nodded seeing his burning eyes as if she knew she was forever trapped. Forever binded to him and she didn't mind.

In the living room, a different hideout for them to use for the mean time. Maine was on a call with Faraday and felt something happening to him. His sight was scrambling and he fell down.
"Shit Maine!"
Dorio shook him to wake him up, but she quickly injected him with the med that helps anyone having problems stabilize.
"Don't go passing out on us big man."
Falco had a worried look as he also tried to help Maine his own way.

Lucy was diving deep into the man's brain until he found what she needed. Connecting the cord to that classified information to her neck in the virtual realm. She found what she was looking for, only for her to feel something being messed with her Cyberware.
Ace saw this and then instantly a huge noise blared loudly. The man was dying now, and the other three in the living room heard it. Dorio barged in first, as she quickly saw the commotion and acted first on the keyboard to try to help with detaching Lucy's cord of her behind her neck.
"Falco taker Lu-"
"I'll handle it."
Lucy cord was taken out as she was now fully clothed out of nowhere. The same man that appeared that day where Pilar died. He was here in the flesh again. The bodyguard Lucy talks about.
"You!"
Dorio pointed, but quickly saw his serious look. She had no time to ask any stupid questions. Falco also looked and Maine looked as well but quickly injected the captured man who was spasming out with what he uses to calm his symptoms.
"Lucy's bodyguard it's good to see you!"
He exclaimed with a smile but quickly turned into a frown.
"Names Ace, I'll be following you all."
Even though Ace can just help Lucy with escaping. He would do it slowly, rushing things isn't sometimes the best thing to do. Takes the fun out, as he was restricting himself from not finishing this in one second. Playing along held a nice feeling for Ace.
"Ace....well bodyguard good to have you here."
"Guys! Jammer got fried when Tanaka flatlined!"
Tanaka the man who maine tried to save for a bit more time died. The injection wasn't helpful at all. They panicked a little, but kept it calm. Only for the next words to come from Dorio's mouth to make the situation even more grave.
"Trauma team caught whiff of the shit!"
"Tch! Fucking bastard!"
He shot the chains holding Tanaka.
"Falco prep the wheels!"
"On it!"
Falco ran towards the car they had parked for the gate away.
"Bodyguard go with him, we'll hold off here."
"You'll both die, such admirable thing for some thugs."
Maine glared at him, then just huffed.
"Wanna die!?"
"Chill both of you now isn't the time to fight!"
Dorio yelled interrupting the growing tension.
"Ace go with Lucy and Falco, we'll have this covered."
"Nah, you two go with Lucy."
Then Ace let out a bit of killing intent making both Maine and Dorio shiver in fear. They saw their bodies tremble and looked at Ace. Such feeling they never felt such feeling like Death was right in front of them.
"I don't like repeating myself twice, go with them."
"A-Alright."
Ace handed Lucy to Maine who softly holds her not wanting to harm her. It seemed Ace wasn't not so normal.
"I'll hold them off, and you big guy, Dorio take this."
Dorio caught an injection item similar to what Maine uses.
"You big man are going to go psycho really soon, if you take it....take it as a gift for taking care of Lucy for me."
The his voice boomed with authority that they couldn't help but obey.
"Go or you'll piss me off."
They did instantly going to the car with Falco waiting for them.
"Time to enjoy a bit of fun."
