"I am Santa Claus, remember? And I want you to take over the role of Santa for me," old Saint Nick replied. His strength was fading fast. "I don't have time to explain. Just take my hat."
"What do you mean by taking the role as Santa?" Naruto repeated what the injured man said in shock, but he got no reply, as the man seemed to pass away as he said those words. "Shit, don't die on me. I should have taken him to a hospital instead of stopping to talk with him. At least that way, they would have been witnesses to his dying."
Naruto started to think about what he should do after he confirmed that the man he tried to save was dead. He could go to the police, but they would ask him questions he couldn't answer, like who killed Santa. He couldn't say it was a giant turkey, a rabbit, and a man with a pumpkin for a head.
