Chapter 62 - Chapter 62

Chapter 62 Yun Ming's Sealed Strength   "You're already very strong."

Lin Xiuran paused briefly as he passed by Wu Siduo.

Wu Siduo, having received treatment from the Holy Spirit Douluo, was basically fine now, but her spirit was clearly low.

This battle had been incredibly frustrating for her; she hadn't been able to exert any advantage whatsoever, being led by the nose by Lin Xiuran the entire time. Even her final desperate attempt at self-fusion of martial souls was forcibly broken by him.

For a moment, she even began to doubt herself.

Lin Xiuran didn't say much, passing by her side and leaving behind these words. By the time Wu Siduo came to her senses, he was already far away.

Wu Siduo slowly regained her composure, the look of defeat gone from her eyes. This battle had completely ignited her competitive spirit.

In the future, she must enter the inner courtyard; she must become stronger.

Xie Xie walked to Zheng Yiran's side and gently shook his head: "Don't be so arrogant next time."

Zheng Yiran's face was not good, but she still said firmly: "Losing to them doesn't mean we'll lose to you. We still have the class selection competition!"

At this moment, Tang Wulin also walked over and said confidently: "You can give it a try. I still say, talking is useless."

Xu Xiaoyan stuck out her tongue playfully at the group behind the two of them.

  Then they left.

Watching Xie Xie and Tang Wulin walk away smugly, Zheng Yiran was furious and looked at her companions.

"In a few days, in the class selection competition, we will definitely crush them!"

Zheng Yiran said excitedly, but the others remained silent.

Zheng Yiran was a little excited: "Don't be discouraged. We can't beat those guys from the inner courtyard, but can't we beat them? With Tang Wulin's second-ring cultivation..."

"I won't participate," Wu Siduo said first, then left.

She had figured it out; some competitions really weren't necessary. Her own strength could only be improved through her own hard work, not by competing for rankings or honors.

"What happened!" Zheng Yiran was very confused and wanted to ask Wu Siduo.

But Luo Guixing stopped her, saying helplessly, "Don't say anything, we've already embarrassed ourselves enough."

Indeed, this battle had significantly diminished their prestige in Class 1 of the first year. After all, Zheng Yiran had made quite a few boastful remarks in the class before the competition.

But the final result directly slapped her in the face, which was equivalent to slapping their team in the face as well.

"How was my swordplay today? Wasn't it cool?" Ye Xinglan walked in the middle, speaking to Xu Lizhi and Lin Xiuran.

Lin Xiuran smiled slightly: "Very cool."

Ye Xinglan nodded in satisfaction; she seemed to have been waiting for this sentence.

"But not as cool as me."

Ye Xinglan's smile vanished instantly, and in a very fast way.

Seeing Ye Xinglan's face quickly fall, Lin Xiuran felt even better.

He didn't know when it started, but Ye Xinglan's personality had changed drastically. When he first arrived at Shrek Academy's inner courtyard, he was aloof and arrogant.

But after being defeated time and again, his personality changed. In any case, when they were alone together, he no longer had that cold expression.

A few days later, the class selection competition for Class 1 of the first year began. Zheng Yiran and her group participated again. Without Wu Siduo, they found someone else from their class and fought their way through to the end. However, they still lost to Tang Wulin's team.

The outer courtyard's class exchange competition soon began, but these had nothing to do with Lin Xiuran.      Ye Xinglan and Xu Lizhi needed to attend, and Lin Xiuran would occasionally go to watch, but he mostly stayed in the inner courtyard to cultivate.

However, these past two days, Lin Xiuran had seen Na'er more often; the little girl would frequently run to him when she had nothing to do.

"Is Brother Xiuran cultivating?" Na'er stood outside Lin Xiuran's room and gently knocked on the door, asking.

After a while, Lin Xiuran opened the door and came out. Seeing Na'er, he asked in confusion, "Why are you here so early today? Aren't you cultivating?"

Na'er smiled slightly, "No need today, Teacher has something to do."

"It's normal for the Sea God Pavilion Master to be busy." Lin Xiuran was quite understanding; as the Sea God Pavilion Master, how could he not be busy?

Na'er sighed softly, "Mainly because Teacher has been recovering his health. He might only guide me once a month normally, and he rarely even attends Sea God Pavilion meetings."

"Hmm?" Lin Xiuran was slightly taken aback, "The Pavilion Master has a health problem?"

Na'er pursed her lips, "I don't know the specifics, but I know that more than ten years ago, during a battle, the opponent placed a seal on Teacher, causing his own strength to be reduced to less than one-tenth."

  A seal?

Lin Xiuran frowned slightly. He didn't remember that the Sky-Supporting Douluo Yun Ming had been injured and had his strength sealed.

What was even stranger was that, in the entire Douluo Continent, who could seal Yun Ming's strength?

Yun Ming was, on the surface, already the strongest on the Douluo Continent, aside from the Vast Ocean Douluo Chen Xinjie and Guan Yue.

Just as Lin Xiuran was wondering, Na'er gently waved her small hand in front of his eyes, saying with displeasure, "Brother Xiuran, you're spacing out again."

Lin Xiuran snapped out of his reverie and continued, "Sorry, I just didn't expect that someone as strong as the Pavilion Master would have his strength sealed."

Na'er explained, "Even so, in recent years, Teacher has been in seclusion, cultivating diligently. His strength should have recovered considerably, but no one knows exactly how much. However, he really rarely manages the academy's affairs anymore."

"Let's not talk about that." Lin Xiuran seemed to suddenly remember something and asked, "Na'er, can you teach me some marksmanship?"

"Why does Brother Xiuran suddenly want to practice marksmanship?" Na'er asked.

After all, Lin Xiuran's martial soul wasn't a weapon martial soul, and he didn't have any weapons related to guns, so the sudden request to practice with a gun confused her.

"I'm improving my close combat skills. I'll forge a long spear using rare metals."

Seeing Lin Xiuran's explanation, Na'er didn't ask further.

"Then come find me whenever you're ready, Brother Xiuran. I'm available anytime."

  "Okay."

Lin Xiuran's reason wasn't just that; it was something Gu Yuena had asked him to practice. Although she didn't know the specifics, she knew it would be very useful to him in the future.

Na'er's spear skills were undoubtedly excellent; even without Yun Ming as her master, she was still incredibly strong, something derived from the depths of her bloodline.

The two chatted for a while longer, but Na'er was quickly called back by Ya Li via a soul-guided communication.

Na'er left Lin Xiuran's younger brother's residence in the inner courtyard and headed directly towards Seagod Island.

While on a boat on Seagod Lake, she looked at the shimmering water, her eyes slightly focused.
