CHAPTER 1
CHILD BIRTH
It was a new dawn, two pregnant women were brought to a hospital in Manchester City together with their husbands conveying them lovingly.
The first couple were Mr. Samuel and his wife Mrs. Abigail while the second couple were Mr. Gideon and his wife Mrs. Salome.
Mr. Samuel was a Lieutenant General in the American army while his wife Mrs. Abigail was a qualified chartered accountant to be precised and they were both wealthy in thousand folds, also very famous.
Mr. Gideon at the other hand was a poor gambler who lived with his wife Salome a petty trader in a slumpy bad wooden house.
Gideon and Abigail were once dating before when they were both in high school but Gideon dropped out of school due his bad behaviours, they broke up and Abigail furthered her education to the Tertiary level where she fell in love with Samuel and got married to him after they both graduated.
Nevertheless, Gideon was still deeply in love with Abigail even though he has his own wife Salome, he never cared much about her.
Salome was an half illiterate personnel who also dropped out of high school when she was in grade nine in order to work as an house maid as instructed by her late step mother who was mean and cruel to her. Salome worked as an house maid in different homes before she got married to Gideon the poor gambler.
Presently, Abigail and Salome the two wives of Samuel and Gideon were both pregnant and would soon deliver their babies in a short while.
They were both admitted to opposite wards where two Gynaecologists came to handle the delievries.
And after some minutes, cries of babies were vividly heard from both wards, this means that both Abigail and Salome had given birth to bouncy baby boys.
A young female nurse first approached Gideon at the nurse station and announced the good news to him, telling him that his wife Salome has given birth to a bouncy baby boy.
Gideon only smiled manically and some how joyfully, he actually came to accomplish an evil mission which was to come and exchange his baby with that of Samuel and Abigail, because he still loved Abigail and he wants his own child to enjoy their wealth while he allows Samuel's child to suffer in his hands.
Soon enough, Gideon quickly swapped the babies when the two women were fast asleep before Samuel came to his wife's ward to see his baby.
Samuel never knew that the baby in his hands was not his own, Abigail and Salome knew nothing either, including the doctors and nurses except one person which was Gideon's brother, John.
Gideon informed John about his malicious act before conveying Salome to the hospital and they both made a covenant to keep it secretive till eternity.
But, time shall tell.
Samuel and Abigail named their baby Desmond while Gideon and Salome named theirs Diamond.
