Chapter 22 - Wait—Who’s the Boss Here, Exactly?!

"Master, just let us handle him."

"You only need to rest."

The two little maids were extremely considerate. Their concern for Ma Jun was genuine and heartfelt.

The players, however, were even more worried.

The moment Ma Jun proposed a one-on-one duel with Sbinse, the entire group of players erupted in shock.

"No way, bro?!"

"You want to duel a werewolf—are you crazy?!"

"Don't be impulsive, man!"

"It's over… this is completely over…"

Of course, the players weren't worried about Ma Jun's life itself.

What they feared was—if Ma Jun died, and the furious female ghosts turned their rage on them, what would they do?

Wouldn't they be dead for sure?!

As for Ma Jun soloing a werewolf?

What were they even thinking—this was everyone's first time in a horror game. Only some outrageously heaven-defying genius would dare clash head-on with a mini-boss like this.

Jiang Han was utterly baffled. She stared at Ma Jun, who looked calm and relaxed, and no matter how she looked at him, he didn't seem like the type to lose his head and act recklessly.

So why was he being so impulsive now?

Even kindergarten kids wouldn't make a choice like this.

Ma Jun waved his hand, soothing the anxious little maids.

"Don't worry about me."

"I know what I'm doing."

The players were on the verge of losing their minds.

"What do you know?!"

"Can't you just watch the show peacefully?!"

"Do you really have to go looking for trouble?!"

Naturally, these players couldn't understand Ma Jun's thinking.

They hadn't interacted much with NPCs yet, and didn't understand how important evaluation value was.

But Ma Jun had already interacted deeply with NPCs several times.

And Sbinse—someone with a name, status, and identity—definitely counted as a noteworthy NPC. Ma Jun had no intention of letting such a prime opportunity to raise his evaluation value slip away.

Besides—

He also wanted to test just how strong his newly enhanced [Grace] really was.

Sbinse was the perfect opponent.

Ma Jun had already observed that Sbinse's speed wasn't particularly fast—he couldn't even keep up with him.

That meant there wouldn't be any fatal danger.

He had confidence.

"Come on!"

Ma Jun reached out and casually shrugged off the luxurious velvet cloak draped over his shoulders. His movements were clean and fluid.

"Looking for death!"

Sbinse roared and charged straight at Ma Jun.

His sharp claws dug into the ground, tearing up huge chunks of dirt as he sprinted forward—

Like a heavy armored tank.

The players' hearts sank.

This time, it was really over.

Many people shut their eyes, unable to bear watching Ma Jun's tragic end.

But at the very moment Sbinse was about to crash into him—

Ma Jun moved!

With a light, agile flip, he vaulted straight up from where he stood, neatly dodging Sbinse's heavy hammer!

Then, twisting smoothly in midair, he landed astride Sbinse's thick neck!

These two moves—

Were as fast as a rabbit's leap and a falcon's dive!

Truly nimble and swift, like a swimming dragon!

"Holy shit!"

"Is that real?!"

"Did you see that clearly?!"

"That speed—he's faster than the boss himself!"

The players cried out in disbelief.

Jiang Han's pupils shrank violently.

The players might not fully grasp what they were seeing.

It was like standing at the foot of a mountain—you could tell the person at the summit was impressive, but not how impressive.

Only when you'd climbed halfway up yourself and looked down at the masses below—

Only then could you truly feel the shock.

The players were at the mountain's base.

Jiang Han was halfway up the slope.

And Ma Jun —

He stood alone at the peak, looking down on all others!

Like a monster.

And Ma Jun's performance wasn't over yet.

"Grace!"

He let out a soft shout. In an instant, white light flashed.

His arm immediately entered a reinforced state.

Its size increased by a full fifty percent!

Along with its size, both strength and hardness surged dramatically.

The muscles on his arm gleamed like polished jade, radiating a crystalline luster!

At this moment, the constitution of his arm alone had reached a full 9 points!

Whoosh!

He slammed his fist down with full force!

From this position, it struck perfectly at the back of Sbinse's head.

Werewolves were still transformed humans—the back of the head was just as fragile.

Crack!

A dull, heavy sound rang out.

A moment ago, Sbinse had looked fierce and godlike—

The next second, his eyes rolled back, and he collapsed unconscious with a thud.

Clean. Decisive.

Sbinse lay sprawled on the ground.

Ma Jun stood beside him, calm and composed, riding the momentum of victory.

He clapped his hands lightly, and his arm returned to its original size.

"Bring me my cloak."

He smiled at the two little maids.

The girls were already beaming, their eyes curved into crescents as they eagerly brought the cloak over.

"Master, you're amazing!"

"Master, you're incredible!"

"Sbinse is a general of the Hainsberg family, and you took him out in one hit!"

"Master, you're way too strong!"

The two maids crowded around him, chattering nonstop as they gently helped him put his cloak back on.

Meanwhile—

The players watching from the side had already dropped their jaws.

Their faces were frozen in shock.

They couldn't even speak.

A few seconds later, the crowd finally exploded.

"Instant… instant kill?!"

"I didn't see wrong, did I? Ma Jun just one-shot the boss?!"

"Is this for real?!"

"Is he actually a player?!"

"What kind of monster is this guy?!"

"So who the hell is the BOSS here?!"
