Chapter 58: Framing and Confrontation

When Uvogin saw "Franklin," his aura boiled over.

Coming here today, they were certain they would find clues about Ronin.

After all, Ronin wouldn't give up on the Scarlet Eyes.

But they never expected Ronin to have the audacity to target the entire auction and frame the Phantom Troupe for the robbery!

It didn't matter how he disguised himself. The situation was now "yellow mud in the pants"—not shit, but it looked like shit. Unexplainable.

Of course, Uvogin never planned to explain.

His figure exploded through the hail of bullets, appearing instantly in front of Ronin's clone.

A massive fist, carrying supreme power, smashed down.

BOOM!

A crater appeared in the floor, but Ronin had already dodged backward.

Through the movement of the clone's lips, a location name reached Uvogin's ears.

The clone raised a hand. Instead of a signature Jutsu, he gathered aura at his fingertips and fired Nen bullets.

It looked somewhat like Franklin's technique.

But the bullets were weak. Hitting Uvogin, they did nothing but make him angrier.

This was a clumsy imitation using the Sharingan's memory of Franklin. The power was naturally limited.

Ronin hadn't even thought about developing Emission abilities.

The Mafia's bullets only targeted Uvogin's trio, avoiding Ronin's clone entirely. Not out of mercy, but because he carried the precious auction items.

Orders from above: don't damage the goods.

So, confident Mafia heavy-hitters stepped out. Clenching their fists, unable to see the Nen bullets, they walked toward the clone and Uvogin, looking ready to beat them to death.

But before they could get close, the weak Nen bullets—useless against Uvogin—tore through them.

Flesh and blood sprayed. The mobsters died screaming, not knowing what hit them.

The gruesome scene forced the surrounding mobsters to retreat.

Machi and Nobunaga seized the chance to encircle Ronin.

After the incident at the arena, they wouldn't give Ronin another chance to duel Uvogin alone.

Even if Ronin wasn't renting aura from Milia, they wouldn't risk it.

Meanwhile, other Troupe members were moving through the building, rushing upstairs to find Ronin's main body.

Some searched outside, basing their actions on Shalnark's theory that the main body couldn't be too far from the clone.

But Ronin's main body was already flying high above the Cemetery Building, drifting further away.

As for the Shadow Clone, unless it took damage exceeding its limit, it would last until its Chakra ran out.

Using the Transformation Technique for disguise, its eyes remained in the Sharingan state.

The Three-Tomoe Sharingan tracked every attack trajectory.

The clone threw the backpack high into the air. The contents scattered everywhere.

Freed from the burden, the clone displayed its formidable Taijutsu.

His punch met Uvogin's Big Bang Impact. Equal force sent both of them sliding back.

This retreat perfectly dodged Nobunaga's slash and twisted away from Machi's threads.

Stabilizing his footing, Ronin made a finger-gun gesture.

"Bang!"

A Nen bullet fired from his fingertip—Sidney's classic move from the arena.

The bullet aimed at Machi.

But before it hit, it was sliced apart by invisible threads in mid-air.

Ronin kicked off the ground. While Machi blocked the bullet, he dashed to her side.

A fist wrapped in Nen unleashed the mechanics of the Big Bang Impact.

BOOM!

Machi crossed her arms to block. The immense force sent her flying, leaving her arms numb.

Monster!

But Machi saw a long blade and an iron fist closing in on Ronin as she flew back.

The Sharingan's insight allowed Ronin to react instantly.

He swiped his hand at his waist, drawing a dagger to parry the incoming blade while lifting a foot to kick the punching Uvogin.

The dagger snapped upon contact with the blade, allowing the sword to slice into Ronin's body.

The kick hit Uvogin's heart, but Uvogin's fist also slammed into Ronin.

Unable to withstand the damage, the Shadow Clone poofed into smoke.

But Uvogin stumbled back a few steps, his face ugly. The shoe print on the chest of his suit made him furious.

"He slipped away again." Nobunaga sheathed his sword.

Ronin's Taijutsu had improved drastically, worlds apart from their encounter at Heaven's Arena.

"Call the Boss," Machi rubbed her red arms.

It was Uvogin's Big Bang Impact, but used with near-perfect proficiency. It proved Ronin's mastery of Enhancement was extremely high.

His Specialist ability really was a rare type leaning toward the physical categories.

"Didn't find him," Chrollo's voice came through the phone. "But witnesses saw someone go upstairs and jump out a window. I found the open window on the fifth floor. Feitan, Phinks, and Bonolenov are chasing."

On the other side, Ronin landed on the roof of a nearby building.

Kurapika and Neon were there.

"I see Troupe members inside the Cemetery Building. It looks like they're out in full force," Kurapika said quickly, taking the large bag from Ronin.

They had booked a room on the 15th floor, giving them a view of the Cemetery Building with binoculars.

"Several people jumped from the window you used and are searching the ground. The trails you left intentionally should work," Neon added her observation.

"I told Uvogin the location. But I'm not sure if he'll come or how many he'll bring," Ronin shared his harvest.

When the clone vanished, the memories returned to him.

After suffering so many losses, would Uvogin fall for it and come alone again?

"Let's try. If he's brainless enough to come alone, or if the Troupe sees this as an opportunity and uses him as bait, we can take the initiative to eat him," Kurapika said confidently.
