[First of all, before I go into explaining different layers and realms, let's make you understand what cultivation is.]
[Everyone starts off their life as a mortal/Layer-0 existence.]
[The number of mortals in the universe is countless; they are born and they die...Nobody cares.]
[But every being born mortal has a chance to elevate their existence and stand on a higher pedestal to look down on the universe with contempt and take it for their own to rule.]
[The more layers you cross, the higher your standing on the pyramid of existence.]
[All beginner cultivators utilise an energy called "Enos."]
[With the help of Enos, they become strong, powerful and gain longevity to live longer than an average mortal.]
[Mortals start cultivating for different reasons —some do it for strength, some for power and authority over lesser beings, and many people do it to escape the shackles of a mortal life.]
[You have to find your reason, Azrael.]
Hearing all this, Azrael falls into deep thought.
"So, how do I start cultivating then?" Azrael suddenly asks,
[Every race in the universe has their unique speciality that they are known for, and have developed multiple ways to start cultivation that fits perfectly for their species' growth.]
[Humans are best known for their adaptability, and they have developed a perfect systematic method to begin cultivation by utilising other species.]
[Do you want me to explain how to elevate to Layer-1?]
[Or should I explain layers and their respective realms?]
"Tell me more about layers and realms."
[Okay, there are Ten layers in total, Azrael. Layer-ten being the highest and Layer-one the lowest.]
[Each layer is divided into different realms, which you have to comprehend or cross in order to take a leap from being a Layer-1 to a Layer-2 existence.]
[It is impossible to elevate your existence without crossing realms.]
LAYER-1 : METAMORPHOSIS.
[Is divided into four realms.]
Blood revitalization.
Visceral transformation.
Tendon formation.
Bone condensation.
LAYER-2 : SOUL CULTIVATION
LAYER-3 : AMALGAMATION
[I won't go into details about the realms of Layer-2 and Layer-3.]
[As it is useless to know about them unless you are at the Bone condensation realm.]
"What about layers four, five and above.?" Azrael asks.
[I have a few restrictions placed on me, and I can't access information above Layer-3.]
[Once you reach the final realm of Layer-3, only then will it be unlocked.]
"Okay." Azrael comments, understanding that there is no use in Knowing about them now.
"Tell me more about Enos?"
[Enos is the most basic form of energy used by existence from Layer 1-3.]
[It is present everywhere in the world, and one just needs to step into Layer-1 to start utilising it.]
[Every ability you use will be powered by Enos.]
[You will understand it better once you experience the energy yourself.]
After hearing all this, Azrael goes into silence again as there is so much to think through.
After thinking for a while,
"Okay then system, let's focus on the immediate thing, which is stepping into Layer-1."
"As for other realms and layers, we will leave them for later."
"So tell me, how should I start?"
[Alright, Azrael. First you need to understand how humans elevate to Layer-1.]
[As i said before, humans are known for their adaptability.]
[Humans don't have any other innate features that specialize in cultivation, so they utilise other species to overcome this hurdle.]
[Hence the first step—metamorphosis.]
[By assimilating other species' blood, viscera, tendons and bones into your own body, you undergo metamorphosis and are able to start cultivating with the help of "Enos" and therefore become a first-layer existence.]
"Doesn't that mean we aren't human anymore?" Azrael asks, afraid of the possibility.
[No, it is not complete integration. So you will still be human.]
[Only particular genes are mutated to facilitate the usage of Enos.]
"That's good to know."
"So, which species is used for metamorphosis?"
[You can use any species, race, or beast to metamorphose.]
[The higher the level of existence is used, the stronger the foundation built.]
[This is the reason humans are considered one of the strongest races in the universe.]
[Their ability to assimilate any being, makes them fearsome warriors with different abilities that are difficult to map.]
[Of course, you can only assimilate once, and the gap between the layers is not something that can be easily crossed, so most Layer-0 existences only assimilate with Layer-1 & Layer-2 existence.]
[There's also danger involved with assimilating higher existences, as they can easily overpower your mortal shell and you will burst from within.]
"How do I start then?"
In Terralon, the awakening only takes place around the age of sixteen. So, do I have to wait till then to get the blood of some species to step into the first realm?"
