Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 The Most Perfect Ninja Tool

He subconsciously wanted to perform the second guidance, but reason made him calm down.

Since Tenten remained single, it meant Nojuro Ryun still had many more chances to try.

Even after the Fourth Great Ninja War ended and Kaguya was sealed, Nojuro Ryun would still have time to pursue Tenten later.

What Ryun needed to do now was to first live like a proper human being.

[Half a month later, you recovered and left the hospital, but you didn't even have money for a single meal.]

[After painful reflection, you decided to work part-time while compiling the literary works from your past life memories into novels. However, the Yakiniku restaurant owner's wife refused to hire you again, and you were almost starving to death.]

Ryun immediately chose to perform the second guidance.

The style he had set was supposed to be that of an unyielding yet melancholic and physically weak literary youth. These lines now read more like he was about to starve to death.

Ryun had no idea where to find a second excellent female ninja willing to have an hour of contact with him. So, this first simulation of his must succeed.

What should he do...

Ryun pondered seriously, feeling that the simulated version of himself was almost unlikely to find a job.

Already physically weak, if he stubbornly protected his dignity, he would appear no different from a troublemaker or a ticking time bomb in the eyes of employers.

If he abandoned his dignity... leaving aside whether shamelessness alone could keep Ryun alive, would Tenten fall for someone with absolutely no bottom line?

"Ah, living is truly difficult," Ryun sighed quietly. Where was the solution to break this deadlock?

He touched his own face again... vaguely recalling the life experiences of many great writers.

How does a young man, aloof yet lacking the means to survive, successfully complete his writings?

Answer: Find a wealthy patron to support him.

For example, Rousseau and Madame de Warens, Balzac and Madame de Berny, Tchaikovsky and Nadezhda von Meck, and Liszt and Princess Carolyne.

Ryun suddenly understood.

He wasn't just looking for a wealthy patron to support him. He was merely seeking a patron to assist him in completing artistic works, contributing to the development of the literary and artistic cause in the ninja world.

So... who were the wealthy patrons in Konoha?

Ryun counted on his fingers, but frustratingly found there really weren't many wealthy patrons in Konoha.

Mainly because if Ryun went to bother these wealthy patrons, he'd most likely be killed instantly by a kunai, leaving no chance for any subsequent writing.

Ryun looked again at the sleeping Tenten, gritted his teeth, and decided he still had to try with Tenten.

He swore secretly that if Tenten helped him, then even though Tenten knew nothing about the simulation, he would become her most loyal friend.

After a round of settings, the simulation continued.

[You used your last money to buy a piece of paper, borrowed the stationery shop owner's pen, and wrote down a story plagiarized and modified from memory, planning to try giving it to Tenten.]

[After some inquiries, you found Tenten's family residence. As a ninja who threw ninja tools around without regard for cost, Tenten's family was actually quite wealthy.]

[The butler told you Tenten was out on a mission, but did not refuse the manuscript you submitted. He mistook you for a classmate of Tenten's from the Ninja Academy.]

[You returned home, hungry and thirsty. You tried to learn from Naruto and leave the village to search for some wild vegetables and fruits to eat, but you fainted before even leaving your house.]

Ryun closed his eyes. He felt this simulation of his was probably going to fail.

Even through this simulation, he was filled with doubt about his future life. Could it be that he really wouldn't be able to find a job later?

If it truly came to a desperate situation, then he would go find Naruto and become a spoiler maniac.

Although he didn't know how he would die, he could definitely eat a full meal before dying.

Just as Ryun was pondering whether to use the last guidance opportunity to make the simulated version of himself struggle for survival, a hopeful light shone on his face.

[Tenten, having finished her mission, received the manuscript and came looking for you. Finding you had fainted from hunger, she chose to take you home. She personally fed you meat porridge, and you soon regained your energy.]

[Tenten said she really liked the story of the Ninja Tool Princess, which you adapted from Snow White. She also curiously asked who the protagonist in the story was.]

[Facing the shy wealthy patron, you answered without hesitation that it was Tenten herself. Tenten was very happy. From then on, you felt the relationship between you and Tenten had changed.]

[Ding, Tenten considers you a friend.]

Ryun let out a long sigh of relief. He hadn't expected it to actually succeed.

He had just been wondering if the story he hastily adapted at the last moment would be accepted by Tenten.

The facts proved that the level of literary and artistic development in the ninja world was not high. Especially when faced with a handsome guy writing a story for her, Tenten had almost no resistance.

[Tenten decided to sponsor you to fulfill your dream, but she could only provide you with food, paper, and pens, not money, because her parents did not agree with her doing this.]

[You knew your situation was still not stable enough. After serious thought, you planned to adapt another literary work once more.]

[Using the style of "The People of the Toyotomi Family," you wrote "The People of the Uchiha Clan." Just the opening biography of Madara Uchiha caused a sensation throughout Konoha.]

[The Third Hokage personally came to Tenten's house, met you who were no longer emaciated, with sword-like eyebrows, starry eyes, and clothes whiter than snow. He extended an invitation, hoping you would come work in the Hokage's office.]

[You looked at Tenten, whose face was full of joy for you but whose eyes held a trace of panic, and made a major life choice.]

Even without a system reminder, Ryun knew the critical point had arrived.

He promptly used the third guidance opportunity, formulating the next simulation plan.

Soon, the simulation continued.

[You politely declined the Third Hokage's invitation, but agreed to write authoritative works about several of Konoha's Hokage. The Third Hokage was very pleased and hired you as an honorary teacher at the Ninja Academy. From then on, you had a stable government job.]

[With Konoha's support, your books became popular throughout the Land of Fire. Even the Daimyo of the Land of Fire came to ask for your autograph. All the young people in the Land of Fire were required to thoroughly read your Hokage biography series during their schooling to cultivate patriotic sentiment.]

[Having achieved fame and success, you could have moved out of Tenten's house, but you never mentioned it. You also awakened a new hobby, helping Tenten design ninja tools.]

[Konoha Year 65, you successfully developed the fragmentation kunai. Konoha Year 66, you successfully developed the long-range assassination tool effective at a thousand meters. Konoha Year 67, you successfully developed the Manipulation Tool, Heartless Cannon. Konoha Year 68, you successfully researched the Extreme, Fuel Air Explosion Scroll, which shone brilliantly during the Great Ninja War.]

[After the war ended, you were hailed as the Father of New Era Ninja Tools in Konoha and were awarded the First Class Honor Medal of the Land of Fire. Despite your fame and success, you still stubbornly remained living at Tenten's house.]

[Konoha Year 70, Tenten, unable to bear it any longer, decided to kick you out of the house after getting drunk. But you said you still needed to make one last perfect ninja tool that required two people to complete, and you needed Tenten's help. Tenten readily agreed.]
