Nora's POV
I watch James hoist the vampire from my shed, the creature's body limp against his muscular frame as he carries him toward the trunk of his sleek black car. Even bound and gagged, the vampire writhes desperately against James's iron grip, but his struggles are utterly futile.
"What's your plan for him?" I ask, crossing my arms as James unceremoniously drops the vampire into the trunk with a satisfying thud.
"For now," James says, brushing his hands off with casual indifference, "I'm letting Antonia have her entertainment."
The vampire's muffled protests grow frantic behind the gag. He knows exactly what awaits him, and Antonia won't be showing mercy after what he put her through last night.
"Fair enough," I reply, understanding perfectly well that James isn't interrogating this vampire himself because he's too focused on keeping me breathing. "Want me to knock him unconscious with an energy ball?"
