Nora's POV
"Tonight?"
"Absolutely."
I tilt my chin upward, meeting his intense sapphire gaze. "Yes."
His mouth curves into that devastating smile before he captures my lips. "Perfect. We can leave whenever you're ready."
"Just give me a moment to fix my hair." I slip from his embrace and snatch my brush, dragging it through the tangles with quick strokes.
"Take your time." James watches as I frantically work through my hair, then use magic to weave it into a neat braid. I pull on socks and slide my feet into my well-worn boots.
"Should we grab dinner first?" James suggests.
"I'm too wound up to eat anything," I confess, grinning widely. "It's been years since I've set foot inside that house."
"You'll be walking through those doors in minutes."
After telling my familiars our destination, I clasp James's hand. He chose the sleek black Mercedes for tonight's drive. We settle into the leather seats and cruise down the winding road, reaching the property within minutes.
