I woke up to the sound of loud ringing. I covered my ears desperately as the ringing became louder and louder. The ringing suddenly subsided so I relaxed my grip.
"Where am I? Didn't I die how am I still living? I thought.
I scanned my surroundings to find out I am in a dark cellar. I tried to get up but a sudden wave of pain washed over me. I looked at myself which was covered in bruises.
"Who could have done this?," I thought.
A sudden system window appeared before me.
" All necessary conditions have been met. Do you wish to upgrade your system?"
I looked at the screen in surprise.
"A system window? Is this some kind of fantasy world like in the novels? Maybe if I accept I might get some answers." I thought
I chose 'Yes' and the screen shone brightly for a few seconds. A notification popped up showing that the upgrade was successful.
The system introduced himself as Leo and he was a rare system that allowed it's host to level up faster than normal people.
I was about to see if the system can give me any answers for how I ended up there when the cellar door was barged open.
I quickly looked up to find a lady in here early fifties but still looked strong. My eyes widen when I saw her face. It was Blair's wet nurse, Agatha.
"I hope you learned your lesson, you useless brat. You dare mess with the true daughter of Marquis Winston, Lady Blair." she said with a scoff.
"Blair" the name hit hard as memories of her torment began to resurface. I clenched my hand in anger. I forced myself to give a submissive nod and mutter a weak apology.
"Seems like you learned your lesson. Now go clean up and apologize to Lady Blair." she said and left.
"Me, apologize? Never!" I said with a scoff.
I dragged my aching body through the hallway trying to find my room. I reliased the layout of the mansion was the same as that of the Winstons mansion except a lot bigger and grander.
I went inside my small room and got cleaned up. I looked inside the closet to find old hand medowns which I presume is from Blair. I wore it and walked towards the mirror.
I checked my reflection to find my own face except it was bruised up. I looked a lot younger like a fifteen year old lady. I sat on the hard bed and opened the system window.
It displayed my level and stat. I was level zero with no stat and class which was a big disappointment.
The system provided me with a bunch of task for me to perform like jumping 100 times.
I wanted to see what would happen if I completed the task so I jumped 100 times even though my body ached real bad.
I then steeled myself to do 100 squats and the last 100 situps. I almost coughed up blood when I finished. Some of my old wounds had also been opened.
"congratulations on completing the task. You have been rewarded. Would you like to take a look at your reward" the screen displayed.
I chose yes. I received two skills and some stat points along with 300 system coins. I quickly checked my skills. I had the full recovery skill and detoxify skill.
I tried out my recovery skill and a bright light enveloped me. I didn't feel any pain and my wounds that opened were now closed.
I was shocked but glad to have a cheat system in this world. I distracted my stat points evenly;
Agility -1 , Strength -1 , Magic - 1 , Perspective -1 , Defense -1 , Attack -1.
I laid down on my bed as I moved through the store in the system. Everything was expensive with the lowest grade items starting from one thousand system coins.
I was about to leave store when my eyes caught a strange looking box worth 300 coins. I bought it and within a second it materialized in my hand.
The system described it as a mystery box which can give the user a random item from any level. It also said the higher the level the higher possibility of getting better items.
I looked at the box then opened it. A bright light shone then revealed a book.
Just then I got a notification telling me I had acquired an ancient incantationless magic book. It gives the user the power to use a spell from there elements without incantation.
I was excited. I then asked Leo what my element was. He run a scan and told me I can't awaken until the blood moon awakening in the temple but he can do a pretest run. I told him to go for it.
A crystal ball materialized in front of me. Leo told me to place my hand on the ball. I did as he said. The ball began to glow in various shades. When the light diminished, it was only three colors left, red, icy blue and dark purplish.
I knew red meant fire, icy blue meant ice but dark purplish, I was not soo sure.
I asked Leo and he said I had awaken three abilities instead of one. He said the third ability was dark magic which is forbidden in that world.
I asked Leo to tell me more about this world. Leo told me that I was in a parallel world which uses magic.
He told me that our worlds crashed and therefore all the people here are from my world except they have magic.
Apart from those above forty, everyone else has their memories. This made me reliased that Blair and Derrick are also here.
" I think God decided to give me another chance to extract my revenge and in the sweetest way possible" I said while licking my lips with a malicious plan brewing in my head.
But first I need to get stronger.
