Chapter 10 - Chapter 6 - Part A: The Park Debut Begins

Morning in the Oga Household

The day began like any other in the Oga residence: with yelling, sparks, and the faint smell of smoke.

"GAAAAHHHHHHH!!" Oga Tatsumi crashed into the living room wall, electricity sizzling across his body. Baby Beel sat on his chest, drooling happily as green sparks leapt from his tiny fingers.

"Dammit, brat, I was just trying to sleep!" Oga snarled, prying the toddler off him and holding him at arm's length.

The narrator's dry tone cut in: "Yes, behold. This is the daily life of Tatsumi Oga—delinquent, high schooler, and unwilling parent to the future Demon Lord. Truly, a model father."

Beel giggled, then zapped him again for good measure.

"GAHHHHHHH!!"

At the kitchen table, Hilda calmly sipped her tea. "If Beel-sama shocks you, it is only because you fail to understand his needs."

"His needs!?" Oga roared, hair smoking. "He's a demon baby! His only 'need' is frying me alive!"

Before Hilda could retort, Oga's mother entered, clapping her hands together. "Tatsumi! Today is the big day!"

Oga blinked. "...Big day?"

"Of course!" she beamed. "Baby Beel's park debut!"

The Concept of "Park Debut"

Narrator: "For those unfamiliar, a 'park debut' is the ancient and fearsome ritual in which mothers present their child to the local circle of other mothers, to be silently judged and ruthlessly evaluated. A battlefield where reputations are made and destroyed in an instant. Few survive with their dignity intact."

Oga froze mid-chew of toast. "...What the hell are you even talking about?"

His mother placed her fists on her hips. "Every baby must make their park debut! If they don't, they'll never be accepted in the neighborhood baby society!"

Oga spat crumbs everywhere. "Neighborhood—what now!? That's a thing!?"

Beel sparked again, frying the toast. Oga twitched. "Stop zapping my breakfast, you damn brat!"

His father peeked from behind a newspaper. "Don't argue. Your mother nearly started a gang war at your debut. It's tradition."

Oga's sister added with a mischievous grin, "I wanna see Beel-chan fry the other babies~"

"HE'S NOT GONNA—" Oga's protest was cut short by another zap.

Narrator: "Yes. Truly a heartwarming household."

Oga's Mom's Flashback

Before Oga could protest further, his mom clasped her hands dramatically, eyes sparkling.

"Ahhh... it feels like yesterday. My very own park debut..."

The room shimmered with the haze of memory.

Scene shift: Years ago, a younger Mrs. Oga strutted into the park with baby Tatsumi in her arms.

Other mothers whispered.

"She's so scary looking..."

"Look at that glare... poor baby."

Baby Oga glared back, already scowling like a delinquent in diapers. He punched another baby in the sandbox.

"HYAH!"

The mothers gasped. "So violent! Who raised this child!?"

Young Mrs. Oga smirked. "That would be me."

When one of the mothers' husbands stepped forward to complain, Mrs. Oga drop-kicked him into the jungle gym. The mothers screamed, the babies cried, and little Oga smashed a toy truck over another kid's head.

Narrator: "And thus, Oga's park debut became legendary... mostly for property damage."

Back to Reality

"I'm so proud," Mrs. Oga sniffled, wiping her eyes.

Oga slammed his fist on the table. "STOP TURNING MY LIFE INTO SOME HELLISH FAMILY LEGACY!"

Beel zapped him again.

"GAAAAAAH!"

Blame Kogen

At that moment, Kogen sat elegantly on the sofa, sipping tea as though the chaos didn't exist. His beauty was, as always, disarming—smooth skin, long lashes, a serene smile that would've charmed saints and sinners alike.

Oga whirled on him. "Hey! If this is some 'mother' thing, shouldn't you be the one going!?"

Kogen tilted his head, resting a delicate hand under his chin. "Tempting as that may be... alas, I cannot. Today, I must attend to certain matters in Makai. Demonic bureaucracy waits for no one."

"BULLSHIT EXCUSE!" Oga roared. "You're just trying to stick me with this humiliation!"

Beel reached for Kogen, sparks dimming, his little face softening.

"See!? Even the kid wants YOU to go!" Oga accused.

Kogen stroked Beel's head with elegant grace. "Beel-sama understands that his parent must face trials alone. It is... entertaining to watch, no?"

Oga nearly exploded. "YOU—!!"

But Alaindelon suddenly emerged from the wall with his usual theatricality.

"Shall we depart, Kogen-sama?"

Kogen rose gracefully, brushing invisible dust from his sleeve. "Indeed. Do enjoy yourself, Tatsumi."

With a wave, he stepped into Alaindelon's dimensional fold, vanishing in a shimmer.

Silence fell.

Oga trembled with rage. "...Enjoy myself, he says. In a nest of gossiping, judgmental mothers. I'LL KILL HIM."

The March to the Park

And so, Oga found himself trudging down the street with Baby Beel strapped to his chest, scowl carved on his face. Beel gurgled happily, sparks crackling.

Narrator: "And thus, our hero marched toward his most dangerous battlefield yet... where strength meant nothing, and the deadliest weapons were whispers, side-eyes, and passive-aggressive comments about strollers."

At the park entrance, the air was thick with chatter. Mothers clustered together, pushing strollers, trading snacks, comparing baby clothes.

The moment Oga stepped in, silence fell. Every head turned.

"Who... who is that thug?"

"Is that a tattoo on his hand?"

"No, I think it's just soot..."

"Poor baby. Raised by a delinquent."

Beel glared back, sparks hissing.

"Oi, brat," Oga muttered. "Don't you dare zap me here. We gotta survive this."

Beel zapped him anyway.

"GAHHHHHH!"

The mothers gasped. "Did he just tase himself!?"

Enter Aoi and Kota

Off to the side, a masked girl adjusted her floppy hat nervously. She held the hand of a cheerful little boy tugging at her skirt.

"Big sis, can we play now?"

"Of course, Kota," she replied softly.

Her name: Aoi Kunieda. Today, she wasn't Red Tails' leader. Today, she was just a big sister.

The other mothers whispered behind her back.

"So young..."

"She must be a teen mom..."

"How shameless..."

Aoi stiffened, cheeks burning behind the mask. She'd come here only to take care of Kota, but now she felt the same judgment as Oga.

First Meeting

Meanwhile, Oga sat on a bench, twitching from the latest shock. Beel giggled, drool running down his chin.

Aoi hesitated, then approached. "Um... excuse me. You're... here for your park debut, aren't you?"

Oga squinted at her. "...My what now?"

Her eyes widened. "You don't... even know...?"

Kota peeked at Beel. The two babies locked eyes. Beel zapped his pacifier. Kota laughed.

Aoi blinked in surprise. "He's... actually pretty friendly."

"Friendly!?" Oga barked. "This monster fried me so bad yesterday I thought I saw Buddha waving goodbye!"

Aoi blinked, then stifled a laugh. He was blunt. Rude. But... oddly honest.

Disaster Strikes

Just as things seemed almost... normal, the ground shook.

"FATHER OGA!!"

Alaindelon burst from the dirt with jazz hands.

The mothers screamed. Babies cried. A dog ran in circles.

"WHAT IS THAT!?"

"Is it safe for children!?"

"Call the police!!"

Oga grabbed Alaindelon by the collar, veins popping. "YOU STUPID WORM! YOU JUST BLEW MY COVER!"

Beel clapped happily.

Narrator: "And so, before Oga could even attempt his debut... chaos had already begun."
