Chapter 1 - curse of immortality

Prologue: A Sword That Remembers

Once, across countless universes, there existed a name that even gods spoke in silence.

Sam.

Before titles.

Before myths.

Before the word God Slayer was carved into the laws of reality itself—

He was a warrior so absolute that divine beings measured their eras by his absence.

The Past — When the Sword Was Still Heavy

There was a time when Sam stood at the peak of existence, wielding power that evolved with every battle he survived.

Not borrowed power.

Not gifted divinity.

Earned.

His strength manifested through four battle forms—each one a reflection of his soul, each one more terrifying than the last:

Mortal Slayer Form — raw, merciless, born from blood and survival.

Void Ascendant Form — where space itself bent away from his presence.

Eternal Flame Form — an undying fire that burned even fate.

Cosmic Judge Form — the final authority, where even gods were weighed… and found wanting.

Yet power was never what broke him.

Loss was.

There came a moment—an incident history refuses to record clearly—when Sam lost the one thing the universe could never replace.

A family.

A bond.

A presence that anchored him to humanity.

Whether it was his first family, a beloved companion, or a bond deeper than blood… the result was the same.

That day, something inside Sam went silent.

The rage did not disappear.

It was buried.

And from that burial was born a far more dangerous being—

A calm executioner.

A warrior who no longer screamed when he killed.

The Wanderer — God of Destruction

With time, Sam gained the ability to move between universes as easily as others crossed streets.

Wherever he went, balance followed.

Or annihilation.

Gods who forgot their purpose.

Cosmic tyrants who ruled through fear.

Divine councils drunk on their own eternity—

All eventually learned the same truth.

Sam did not negotiate.

The Cosmic Council would later give him a title, spoken with fear disguised as respect:

God of Destruction.

Yet even as universes burned behind him, the wound inside him never healed.

Immortality did not dull the pain.

It sharpened it.

The Hidden Life — A Lie Called Peace

Tired of endless judgment…

Tired of divine blood staining his hands…

Sam chose a universe that mattered to no one.

A quiet place.

A forgotten reality.

There, he sealed his powers.

No cosmic authority.

No divine presence.

He became something dangerously fragile.

A family man.

He laughed.

He ate meals that did not taste like ash.

He lived among people who had no idea that the man beside them could erase gods from existence.

For the first time in centuries… he was not a weapon.

He was human.

And that terrified him more than any battlefield ever had.

The Future — An Unavoidable Choice

Because peace is temporary.

And the moment danger comes to that universe—

the moment his family is threatened—

Sam will have to choose.

To reveal his true self means saving them.

But it also means destroying the life he built.

Once the sword is drawn, the lie ends.

And Sam knows this better than anyone:

A God Slayer can never remain ordinary.

The Oath — 1500 Years Ago

Long before gods feared him, Sam knelt before someone who mattered more than power.

A teacher.

A lover.

A fallen comrade.

Someone who saw the storm inside him… and did not run.

With rage tearing through his veins, Sam was forced to make a promise:

"Raise your sword only when there is no other choice."

"Power exists to protect—not to satisfy destruction."

That day, Sam swore never to draw his blade without reason.

That oath became his restraint.

And his curse.

⚔️The Diamond Sword — A Soulbound Relic

Sam's weapon was never just steel.

The Diamond Sword shared his essence.

Its existence was tied to his heart.

If the sword were ever destroyed—

something inside Sam would break beyond repair.

One strike from it could collapse an entire divine realm.

And yet, it remained sheathed more often than not.

Because Sam remembered his promise.

Immortality — And the Weight of Time

Fifteen hundred years of life taught Sam one lesson above all else:

Immortality does not make you strong.

It makes you lonely.

Friends aged.

Lovers died.

Worlds moved on.

Only he remained.

What kept him sane was not power—

It was the memory of his oath…

and the fragile warmth of the family he protected in secret.

⚖️The True Conflict

Sam's greatest battle was never against gods.

It was against himself.

To draw the sword meant survival.

To keep it sealed meant sacrifice.

And as time moves forward, one truth becomes inevitable:

The longer an immortal lives,

the deeper his scars grow.

Before the Gods — Demon Slayer Sam

Before gods were his prey…

Sam was human.

A normal boy forced into violence by circumstance.

His first title was earned in blood:

Demon Slayer Sam.

Demons fell one after another.

Fear followed his name.

Each victory made him stronger—

and more hollow.

Until one day, his mortal body could no longer contain what he had become.

He crossed a threshold.

Human no longer.

God not yet.

A cosmic entity born from suffering.

And when demons vanished…

his gaze rose higher.

That was when the universe began calling him—

God Slayer Sam.
