Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Scary Megumi

Hayama-kun, it's alright; we won't judge you.

Hayama-kun, Miyauchi will always support you! Nya-pasu!

Hayama Kazuto felt a bit overwhelmed. Even with his world-class intelligence, he couldn't come up with a good solution. The 'otaku' label seemed to have stuck to him!

Thankfully, it's not green!

Should I invent a memory eraser and wipe their memories?

Several anti-human options appeared in Hayama Kazuto's mind.

After school, Hayama Kazuto waited until everyone had left the classroom before packing his things. In the afternoon, Hayama Kazuto felt that his classmates' gazes held a deeper meaning, and he didn't want a classmate to catch up to him halfway and shout, "Hayama-kun, I support you! "

Hayama Kazuto hadn't even reached the club room when he saw Kato Megumi crouching nearby, looking somewhat pained. Kato Megumi's transparent attribute had activated again; besides Hayama Kazuto, passersby didn't even notice her.

Megumi Kato, what's wrong?

Kato Megumi slowly raised her head, a few drops of cold sweat on her forehead: "Just, just a little unwell, resting here for a bit."

Looking at Kato Megumi, Hayama Kazuto felt it wasn't just "a little unwell": "Megumi Kato, should I take you to the infirmary? "

"No need, Hayama-kun. I can go back after resting a bit." Kato Megumi shook her head. She probably guessed her condition—she had eaten cold food at noon and then had physical education class in the afternoon. It was very likely her period had arrived early.

"Then I'll take you home." Hayama Kazuto's tone brooked no refusal.

"Hayama-kun, don't you have football club training today? "Kato Megumi leaned against Hayama Kazuto's back and asked softly.

"There's no game today; they won't mind."

Although Hayama Kazuto had only been enrolled for just over half a month, he was already the undisputed core of the Football Club. Occasionally missing a few training sessions wouldn't lead to any gossip.

"How about you still go to training, Hayama-kun? I feel a little better; I can probably go home by myself."

Kato Megumi shifted her body, wanting to get off Hayama Kazuto's back, but clearly, her pain hadn't eased. She only moved slightly, and her face turned a shade paler.

Feeling the astonishing softness and elasticity on his back, Hayama Kazuto said helplessly, "Megumi Kato, it's been less than five minutes, and this is already the third time."

Within the short few hundred metres from the teaching building to the school gate, Kato Megumi had already tried to get off Hayama Kazuto's back three times. Hayama Kazuto slightly shook his back, carrying Kato Megumi a little higher.

"Um, Hayama-kun, don't you mind other people looking? "

Kato Megumi was a casual person, and her transparent attribute made it difficult for her to be noticed by others. However, Hayama Kazuto was a star at school, and she didn't want to cause him trouble.

"With Megumi Kato here, even if I wanted to be noticed, it would be a bit difficult."

"Eh, you said something quite harsh so casually." Kato Megumi quietly leaned her head on Hayama Kazuto's shoulder, her cheeks feeling a bit warm.

At the school gate, a taxi had been waiting for a long time. After-school trains were always exceptionally crowded, and given Kato Megumi's condition, she probably couldn't squeeze onto a train.

After the two got into the taxi, Kato Megumi noticed the small beads of sweat on Hayama Kazuto's forehead.

"Is it, is it heavy? "

The sudden question made Hayama Kazuto freeze for a moment, but he quickly reacted: "Around 45 kilograms. In any sense, it's not heavy."

"Hayama-kun, how are you so strong? "

A faint voice echoed in the car, and Hayama Kazuto suddenly felt the temperature drop a few degrees. However, looking at Kato Megumi's expression, he couldn't see any problem.

"Uncle driver, please turn off the air conditioning; my friend isn't feeling well."

The taxi stopped in front of the Kato house.

"Megumi Kato, so your house is here! "

Standing at the Kato house entrance, Hayama Kazuto felt a bit strange. He hadn't expected Kato Megumi's house to be less than a hundred metres from Kiyotaki Kosuke's house!

"My house is very close to where Ginko lives! Actually, the night before last, I was behind you the whole time! "

Hayama Kazuto's expression was a bit unnatural; he had been followed the whole way without realising it! Perhaps Kato Megumi's transparent attribute had activated again.

After helping Kato Megumi into the room, Hayama Kazuto's phone suddenly rang, beeping every few seconds with text message notifications.

Hayama Kazuto glanced at Kato Megumi, then subtly reached into his pocket and turned on silent mode.

Hayama Kazuto could guess the source of these messages; they could only be bank transfer notifications.

Hayama Kazuto had over thirty bank cards in Japan, and transferring funds in batches to different bank cards could better mitigate risk.

"Hayama-kun, you can look at your phone; don't worry about it! "At some point, Kato Megumi had started playing with her phone again.

"It's just some spam messages anyway." Hayama Kazuto didn't move.

"Then, please wait a moment in the living room, Hayama-kun. I need to change my clothes."

Hayama Kazuto walked into the living room.

A minute later, Kato Megumi walked out of the room, her clothes unchanged.

"Ha, Hayama-kun."

Seeing Kato Megumi's expression, Hayama Kazuto's face also showed a hint of surprise.

So, Megumi Kato can be shy too.

"There's something I want to ask you for help with."

Hayama Kazuto didn't know what compelled him to agree to Kato Megumi's request.

Asking me to buy sanitary pads? I can't possibly do that!

"Hayama-kun, if it's really impossible, perhaps you could ask Ginko for help…"

Recalling Kato Megumi's words, Hayama Kazuto felt a bit speechless. Asking a girl to go with him to buy that kind of thing – how could he even say it?

Hayama Kazuto had already circled Kiyotaki Kosuke's house a few times, but he still didn't have the courage to ring the doorbell.

Kiyotaki Kosuke, that perverted old man – if I enter his house again, it'll probably be a textbook demonstration of a lamb entering a tiger's den. And Sora Ginko isn't replying to my messages, sigh.

Kiyotaki Residence, second-floor room.

Sora Ginko and Kiyotaki Keika were playing shogi. The situation was originally favourable, a time to press the advantage, but it suddenly stopped.

"Keika-nee, I'm going out for a bit."

Sora Ginko noticed Hayama Kazuto the moment he arrived at the door. She initially thought Hayama Kazuto was just passing by, but she hadn't expected him to linger outside for so long. A hint of joy couldn't help but well up in Sora Ginko's heart.

Of course, Sora Ginko wouldn't show this joy: "Why are you loitering at the door? If you want to play shogi, come in! "

Hayama Kazuto had intended to brave the convenience store alone, but he hadn't expected such a pleasant surprise: "I, I don't want to play shogi. I, I have something to ask you."

Asking a girl to accompany him to help another girl buy sanitary pads was still difficult for Hayama Kazuto to articulate.

Seeing Sora Ginko's puzzled look, Hayama Kazuto added, "I want you to come with me to buy something."

Buy what? Shogi supplies? Or, a gift for Sensei?

Sora Ginko was delighted, but her words took a different turn: "You need someone to accompany you to buy something? Are you an elementary school student? I can't believe you. Wait for me! "

Sora Ginko ran into the house, told Kiyotaki Keika a few words, grabbed her small umbrella and folding fan, and then went out again.

"Let's go! "

In the convenience store.

"Pervert! How dare you ask a girl to accompany you to buy something like this! " Sora Ginko hit Hayama Kazuto with her fan.

"Sorry, sorry, I didn't explain clearly. But if I came alone, it would be even more perverted, wouldn't it? "Hayama Kazuto knew he was in the wrong and quickly conceded.

Sora Ginko looked at Hayama Kazuto, biting her lip slightly, her brows filled with displeasure. She had thought Hayama Kazuto had changed his mind and wanted to play shogi, but she hadn't expected him to call her out for such a trivial matter.

"Hurry up and buy it, then let's go back! "

After paying, Hayama Kazuto sneaked out of the convenience store like a thief. The cashier's gaze seemed to be scrutinising a perverted lolicon, making the already guilty Hayama Kazuto even more timid.

"Why are you running? " Sora Ginko ran out after him, her small mouth slightly open, exhaling like orchids. Just this short distance, her stamina was already struggling to keep up.

Hayama Kazuto stopped: "You don't have to run; I'll wait for you."

As soon as he spoke, Hayama Kazuto regretted it. How could he have said something so ambiguous?

"But it's good; it'll help you with your physical training."

Sora Ginko's expression changed three times in an instant, like summer weather. But in the end, she just gritted her teeth and said nothing.

Damn it, all he thinks about is muscles!

Evening was approaching, yet the setting sun still burnt somewhat fiercely. As soon as they stepped onto the road, Sora Ginko opened her umbrella.

"Let me." Hayama Kazuto actively took the umbrella handle and, under Sora Ginko's gaze, held the umbrella high.

"Who? Who asked you to hold the umbrella? Meddlesome! " Sora Ginko's cherry lips parted. She had meant to thank him but couldn't, and it came out like that instead.

"On the way here, your umbrella tip poked me several times, almost hitting my eyes, so I'll hold the umbrella." Hayama Kazuto gently adjusted the umbrella's direction, completely shading Sora Ginko.

"Go to hell! "

When they reached Kiyotaki Kosuke's house, Hayama Kazuto returned the umbrella to Sora Ginko: "Thank you, you've been a great help."

Sora Ginko put away the umbrella with a hint of disdain: "Don't bother me with such small matters in the future; it interrupts my shogi! "

"Okay, I won't in the future."

Looking at Hayama Kazuto's serious expression, Sora Ginko really wanted to hit him with her fan again!

You awful scoundrel, you're making me furious!

"Naniwa's White Snow Princess, if you don't go in soon, you'll melt. Your forehead is already starting to steam," Hayama Kazuto kindly reminded her.

"Hey, I say, you're done for today after delivering the stuff to Kato, right? "

"Besides going home, eating, showering, and so on, no."

"Then let's play Shogi! "

"Play Shogi? " Hayama Kazuto looked troubled.

It wasn't that Hayama Kazuto disliked playing shogi; although he found shogi a bit boring, he didn't exactly hate it. It was just that Hayama Kazuto didn't want to go to Kiyotaki Kosuke's house and fall into the tiger's den again.

"I already accompanied you to buy that kind of thing; can't you even play shogi with me for a bit?! "

Hayama Kazuto could feel the murderous aura emanating from Sora Ginko.

"No, I just thought: it's not good for me, an outsider, to always bother your master's house."

Hayama Kazuto admired his quick thinking!

"Eh? You don't know about the internet's existence, do you? Do you still live in the 80s? " Sora Ginko's face showed suspicion. She felt that Hayama Kazuto was trying to brush her off.

"Ah, this? " Due to Kiyotaki Kosuke's lewd threats, Hayama Kazuto had completely forgotten that one could also play shogi online.

"I'll send you some software later; whether you download it or not is up to you! "

Sora Ginko snorted lightly and closed the door with a

bang.

Forget it, I have nothing to do at home anyway; I'll play a game of shogi with her.

Hayama Kazuto returned to the Kato house and reluctantly handed the items to Kato Megumi.

"Thank you, thank you, Hayama-kun."

Kato Megumi carried the items into the room.

A few minutes later, Kato Megumi re-emerged from the room, having changed into comfortable and cute casual clothes, holding a small box in her hand. Beneath her calm expression, a hint of murderous intent seemed to lurk.

"Hayama-kun, you seem to have forgotten something."

Kato Megumi held up the small box in her hand. Under the silver-white packaging, two large reflective characters were written—Okamoto.

Hayama Kazuto's mouth hung open, unable to speak. He finally understood why the cashier had looked at him with the gaze of someone scrutinising a scumbag. He had actually brought Sora Ginko to buy a box of Okamoto at the convenience store!

"Hayama-kun, you wouldn't say that this was bought by Ginko, would you? "
